Q: will this work for a 3/8 hose?

Should work. There is two sizes on the clamp. I used this to clamp 1/4 " ID hose beverage crimp rings.

Q: Will this fit a 1” Ferrell to crimp to a 1/4” hose??

These pliers are for crimping ferrules to either 1/4" or 3/16" hose.

Q: Does this work for a 3/8" hose ferrule?

I used my crimper for a 3/16 hose and it worked. You may want to look up the tool manufacturer’s web page for more information.

Q: what sizes can you crimp with this plier?

It will do two different sizes. But I am not sure what they are.
