Great IEMs for music with acoustic instruments
I rate this 5 stars with some reservations regarding sound. For the current price of $32-$35, it's going to be tough to find something of better build quality. The metal casing on these IEMs is phenomenal. The cord is of very nice quality as well, it's very flexible. I am very happy with the way these are built.Your experience with the sound, however, will depend on your preferences of sound signature and music genre. There is a considerable treble spike on these, and the bass is a bit recessed. I'm okay with it since I don't have any other headphones or IEMs with this particular sound signature, so it's nice to put these on when I just want more treble. Some music genres are tough to enjoy with these (and some songs like Yellow Bird by Pretty Lights are just unbearable), but songs that make heavy use of acoustic instruments sound *really* good. Classical and jazz music, for example, sounds phenomenal with these IEMs. These things really bring out the detail in instruments like the violin. It's almost too well-tuned for classical music, I can hear every imperfection.Overall, I'd purchase these if you're okay with what I've said so far. Definitely not a good choice for bassheads. But if you listen to a lot of music with acoustic instruments, I think you'll be impressed.

Perfect sound but then
Weird, when I first tried them the bass was PERFECT and they sounded better than my SHP 9500 and ATH -AD500 headsets. I mean the music sounded fantastic, and played in the center of my skull! Iunplugged them and put them away so my monkey wouldn't steal/DESTROY them. When I plugged them back in the music was suddenly lacking bass for some reason. The L/R labeling is really hard to make out. What were they thinking? Make them red or something so we can see them!! LOLNote: Do NOT buy the Linsoul memory foam tips (they only sell ONE size). They are smaller than the number 3 size of the Simgot ew200 silicone tips (PERFECT fit!) and just don't do the trick. I'm still looking for compatible foam tips for my big fat ear canals. I read that foam tips reduce the treble bias of these, but I wish that I didn't need to. Maybe they're break in, though it's so strange that the sound was perfect the first time I plugged them in.

Absolutely above the price range
Love them, purchased them for a friend and took a listen to them as well. Sure, treble isn't blended in with the mids and can come across as a bit harsh, but in my case it was really well balanced. Complete range is fantastic, including bass response. Maybe because my ears are somewhat large and the drivers sit further in the canal? Those were the main complaints I read beforehand, but I'm really happy I still decided to order them.Absolutely nutty the way they outperform my $300 Sennheiser TW4s, even when playing both at a 48khz rate.I'm definitely not an audiophile, just someone that likes clean audio. These pass! Among the reviews you'll read, just remember that sound is subjective to the listener.

Defective in the left side.
I got them when they first came out, and I thought my issue was unique and just bad luck. But now there are more comments about one side or both sides stopping working after a while. In my case, the left side became very quiet and muffled when the shell warmed up to body temperature. I simply returned them. I was waiting for the price to drop, but after seeing similar reviews, I decided not to get them again.

For the price they're really nice
I use headphones in a particularly loud environment, so I replaced the tips with foam (JLab Cloud Foam) increased isolation. But, out of the box they provide enough isolation for most environments, especially if you use them for music. The cable looks nice compared to some others I've tried.I was able to clearly process audiobooks at 2x speed in the extremely loud environment before replacing the tips; it just didn't remove the annoyance of the noise. This clarity is something many other headphones I have used have struggled with, and a big driver of my constant search for new headphones. Music, even at a lower volume, tends to be perceived more clearly to me in noisy environments than voices (probably because the volume floor with music is generally much higher, while a lower floor is a critical part of processing speech, though maybe because the tonal range of voices just doesn't get reproduced as loudly by most headphones compared to bass). In any case, the fact that I can clearly perceive voices without distortion in an extremely loud environment is something other, more expensive headphones have failed at for me, included ones with active noise cancellation (which these don't do).Would I give them five stars if they were $200 instead of $40? Maybe not. Might I buy them at that price for work with all the difficulties I've had with other pairs in high volume situations? Quite possibly.
