Works great if you wire your cables right.
This device works great, I used it to plug in to an old Sony Hi8 camcorder. The device came with 2 male TRRS cables that had empty leads on either side that I had to solder together. After looking at the pinout in the listing description and testing the cable that came with my Sony camera I found I had to swap the red and green wires. I soldered everything up and it worked great.

Contents do not match included literature
Pamphlet included says there is a double sided 3.5mm AV In cable and a single sided 3.5mm to breakout/solderable leads AV out cables, but my package included two AV out cables and no AV in cable. I tried every double sided 3.5mm cable I have and tried every device I was planning to use but cannot get video to record, only garbled sound
