The pole I had placed in the ground (a 4-birdfeeder-hooks situation) was tilting precariously. When I got this, it was easy to attach - and would have been easier if I'd actually read the included instructions. The pole is now upright, level, and incredibly stable even in high winds. Highly recommended if you have a tilting pole.

Great product! The four stakes that dig into the ground are larger than they appear in the picture on the Amazon site. They're more the size of the lower half of a heavy duty trowel; quite impressive versus the wire type devices.I noticed some reviewers saying they drive the stakes in the ground using a hammer; the instructions warn against this. All you need to do is gently push down on each stake with your shoe and keep working your way around until you have all the stakes level with the ground.The fact that the device anchors poles up to 2" in diameter really worked out for me. My pole is 1" in diameter but I have an augur attached to the bottom of the pole that the pole fits into. The auger attachment is probably 1 1/4" in diameter and this is what the stabilizer had to fit around. If I had purchased a unit that fit just 1" poles it would have never fit!

We have a large 4 hook shepherd's hook. With the weight of the pots (especially when freshly watered) teh hook tended to sway, and had fallen over a couple of times, especially when the soil was wet and/or we had high winds. Looked at a number of stabilizers, but most would NOT work as this pole is SQUARE, not round. This stabilizer fit the bill PERFECTLY! Large enough that it works on the square post, and since it's a 2 piece unit it was VERY easy to assemble around the pole and tighten down. Very easy to "step" into the ground. Only (minor) problem is that, as many reviewers have noted, the ground has to be ABSOLUTELY level or it sticks up a bit. Not a problem in our case since it's in a mulch bed, I'll just add some extra mulch to cover it. Have had it in now for about a month, thru rains and wind, and the hook doesn't move! LOVE THIS PRODUCT!

Heavy duty stabilizer. Keeps the pole perfectly straight and it no longer sways on windy days. So easy to install. Glad it could go on without pulling up the pole. Would like to order another one!

ordered 4, one was missing all screws delaying project and costing more.
