Good condition and very useful
This book is a life saver. If you do A level chemistry, this is for you. Every calculation is explained with examples and then you have questions of your own to answer. The mark scheme is also very easy to follow and actually explains how to get to the answer. I’ve struggled with following mark schemes for calculation questions and this explains it perfectly. The book came in perfect condition.100% would recommend

Best book for A-level Chemistry calculations!
I was very worried about what book to buy for my chemistry, I had a weakness in doing the calculations in many major topics in chemistry, however, this book has changed all that !... the explanations are very simple and easy to understand...the most hardest topic for me was how to calculate PH,POH...etc...and by reading this book in one day, I managed to understand + calculate complicated questions involving this topic.Buy this book if you need help in calculations for chemistry.I would like to give my greatest thanks to the Author, Jim Clark !

Well I hate maths in chemistry but....
I have a strong dislike of chemistry, more specifically the mathematical side of it. The theoretical side I'm surprisingly good at. However, there can be no light without darkness and that darkness is maths. This book, whilst slightly outdated hence 4 stars, does set out how to approach and tackle these maths questions effectively and efficiently. The practice questions provided are also very useful and testing and somewhat numerous too. If like me you struggle with maths, this book will help you with it in chemistry

The BEST a level chemistry resource
This book is a lifesaver. From someone who really struggles with maths, this is the only resource I have found (after literal months of scouring the web) that has made me understand even the most difficult equation. My teacher speaks very highly of both this book and Jim Clark’s website: chemguide. I can’t recommend it enough, worth every penny.

simply brilliant
As a graduate chemist, I am always looking for better books for teaching A level Chemistry. This book has relevance to a degree in chemistry in some cases. Some of it appears in analytical chemistry at degree, so if you find calculations hard get this book. But try to think logically as well. This book is able to help you beyond A level, so buy it. It is worth every penny.Equations are always a pain whoever you are and they are not common sense. As Einstein said Commonsense is prejudices below eighteen years of age. Therefore common sense is rubbish.

Your Problem Solver
Clarity in delivery when teaching makes the most difficult seeming problems become achievable. It is a gift, rather than a skill and Jim Clark has it in spades. This is a thoroughly comprehensive and useful book for anyone who believes the maths in their A level Chemistry is beyond them. It will make you realise it isn't. Clark uses multiple, well explained examples on a step by step basis to guide you through the various calculation processes you will need to succeed. I thoroughly recommend this as excellent value. It is an investment in your future.
