My Mother-in-law bless her couldn't see who was calling or the numbers she was dialling, obviously this sort of thing is the answer but we tried a few and it comes down to how user friendly it is to a pensioner that you have to stay in touch with but is not at all tech savvy, well she got to grips with this one straight away, she even phones us now (triffic) and I'm very pleased with the sturdiness and action of the mobile, she told me she liked it because it didn't make her feel old and stupid, and that put a smile on my face, it's hard sometimes to get a pre computer person to have confidence in technology but she understood this easily and it has enriched the quality of her life

Unsuitable as 2G (and 3G) signal has been turned off in the UK
I did an Amazon search for "4G phones for the elderly" and further down the page this product came up. I was a looking for a phone that was similar to the last one I got my grandfather (so it wouldn't be too complicated for him to transition).Unfortunately this phone is 2G (not 4G). It was clear in the product listing but as I thought I'd been specific in my search so I hadn't checked the listing correctly.I realised when I it arrived that it wouldn't work for me so returned it for a refund. This was not the seller's fault. The Amazon algorithm needs to be updated to exclude "2G phones" if you ask for "4G phones" and it should be made clear that this will not work in the UK.

Who knew
Despite being a reasonable priced phone the seller should make one thing crystal clear.... This phone only takes standard SIM cards. Not micro or nano SIMs. I got this to insert my existing SIM but notcompatible, so it's useless

Bought for a elderly aunt who wanted a smartphone but I suggested this phone would be much easier to use, she loves it s easy to use
