I ordered this computer as a replacement to my gaming until I can get a better computer. It's a nice computer, smaller than I thought. It's very nice. We had a little hiccup with shipping but the seller was very nice and was easy to work with.

I was very frustrated with this laptop. The system would only allow web access to a health services provider. I would be taken to a login screen for KAISER PERMANENTE. This was a continuous looping issue no matter what changes were attempted on system menu.I did some research on this model laptop & found some models were described as "Health Services Models" on HP website. I believe this laptop had limited user restraints by some sort of BIOS or ROM config.Seller has not responded to my issue so I have returned the laptop. I was really looking forward to using this nice laptop, I thought it would arrive with a fresh WINDOWS 10 image. But that does not appear to be the case. after spending several hours working this problem i have returned the laptop.The Amazon support rep was great and very sincere, but he was also unable to find a solution.We wanted to speak with the seller on the "CHAT" but could not connect with them due to time constraints (late afternoon, business day)UPDATE: 1/9/2024 after taking my problem to the HP Community Support I received a reply :HP designed that model notebook to be used in a healthcare environment. HP EliteBook 840 Healthcare Notebook | HP® Official Site.HP SUPPORT suggested Using the HP Cloud Recovery Client in Windows 11 and Windows 10 | HP® Customer SupportWish I had known about this service before returning the laptop.SO...be advised that if you purchase this model laptop(refurbished) you may encounter the same problem. The HP Cloud Recovery Client provides detailed instructions on downloading the recovery software. Good Luck.

There is so much to like about this laptop. It's everything that was promised and more. I continue to be impressed with the quality of this computer. There is always apprehension when you purchase a refurbished product, but I am totally satisfied with this purchase.

Great product will purchase again if needed

Began the setup program and ended up in a Kaiser Permanente welcome screen asking my to provide my Kaiser e-mail or login code to complete setup. Screen locked at that point, no reboot & had to return the laptop.Came with a nice multipoint check off flyer for whoever tested it. That's nice to know - but didn't do much good in the grand scheme of things. I'm sure the laptop would have been fine had the tech DONE HIS JOB!
