Vac works well
Vac works well. Suction is very good, works much better than my previous vac device.

Powerful vacuum, economical, best for small jobs.
This is a "handy" relatively small "hand" vac that has a powerful vacuum, is easy to use and clean, appropriate storage capacity, and so far the battery life is sufficient for everyday small jobs. Not that it makes a difference, but the color is nice. Having an LED headlight would've been good, but those models were significantly more expensive. The power cord is a bit difficult to plug in or out vs a charging stand of other B&D hand vacs.

Poor suction power, poor battery life
I purchased this to give our youngster a start at chores. He was excited over his favorite color and the lightweight made it easy for him to handle. We were all disappointed when he spent all of his efforts for only a little reward. (He carried it through two floors of stairs) I had to pull out my vac and the wand to finish the job. He tried to use it again the next day and it lasted about 3 minutes before it needed a charge. It now sits in the closet as he has lost interest.

Hand held vacuum
I am very pleased with this little hand held vacuum. I have had a couple of other brands that I was not at all impressed with. But this Black and Decker works much better than the other brands I have used. For a little vacuum it does have pretty good sucking power and its every easy to open and clean. I would recommend this product.

Fun vacuum! But no promises for it to be stronger or last longer than any other
I love this vacuum! I have two birds that I let loose in the house. This has been great for us because I don’t have to bring out the vacuum all the time to clean up seed and playtime messes (my birds are potty trained). And they are not as affraid of the sound as they are the big vacuum. The suction is average for handhelds. The battery power isn’t long at all. You must put it to charge after every use. If you leave it overnight and get back to it in the morning, it will be drained.

Battery doesn't last
I bought this for our laundry room hand vac. It worked GREAT, for about a year. When we use it now, it lasts about 10 seconds then turns off. I would have thought maybe it's a fluke, but I bought one for my in-laws also and it does the same thing. I'm in the market now to replace this appliance, again, and will be looking for something other Black and Decker.When it worked it was perfect. I should last for years, not months.
