This is a great, engaging puzzle! Wonderfully made and finished, and worthy of sitting out on a table. It's not too easy, but not too hard – very enjoyable! I've had guests automatically pick it up and start working with it – it just seems to have that kind of appeal. a great puzzle and a perfect gift for nearly everyone. Some people don't like mental challenges, so maybe not "everyone" would appreciate it – and you can then ask yourself “why do I hang around these people?” I gave one to my mom and she put it in a cupboard, so now I don’t speak to her anymore.So not only is it a great puzzle, but you can use it to find your true friends! 😄

I'm a pretty good puzzler and this thing took me a solid 12 hours to solve and master (write a solution for). At one point I was hundreds of moves in and realized I had made a fatal mistake, but that's how a good puzzle should be. I do agree with some of the other reviews that a 6 year old may be frustrated with this puzzle, because I know I certainly was.This thing is well made and big enough to enjoy with both hands. I was able to buy my puzzle for a little bit of a discount during an Amazon Prime day, so it was a really good value for me, but I would not have felt cheated if I had paid full price. Even if you know exactly how to solve this puzzle it will take a while to solve it and a while longer to put it back to the starting point.I also think the number of moves to solve is 683 including the removal of the key, but perhaps I am mistaken about that.

Puzzle seemed interesting but one of the small pieces inside had snapped off during shipping. Made the puzzle a pretty disappointing gift.

Product has good weight and wood is solid.

First of all, this puzzle is large. You could place two cups of coffee on top of it. If you're expecting something small that fits in your hand, this isn't it.The large size makes this a cool item to put on your coffee table as a conversation starter and something for the "quiet one" in the room to fiddle with while everyone is chatting.The problem is, I am a more than a little disappointed in the build quality. The tolerances are very loose. This means that sometimes you're not sure if the pieces won't move because you don't have something positioned right or if they are just plain "stuck" - which happens quite a bit. It's very frustrating.At one point I thought it was stuck but it was actually in the wrong position. A little too much force resulted in a small piece breaking off. I was able to glue the piece back on after solving the puzzle (which of course was "cheating" due to the broken piece) but I shouldn't have had to. If the manufacturers had used a better quality hardwood (or at least paid more attention to grain direction) I don't think it would have broken.Remake this same puzzle with tighter tolerances and better materials and it's a 5-star puzzle for anyone who enjoys these things.Unfortunately it's hard to enjoy a puzzle when you're never sure if you're making a wrong move or if the sloppy fit of the pieces is the problem.
