Follow directions--then phenomenal.
First of all, social media has put their 2¢ in with inaccurate imfo. The package suggests 2-2 1/2 c water in a rice cooker--I used 2 1/4 and perfection. Social media suggests water of anywhere from 1 c to 3/4 c--which is great if you like crunchy rice--not. If u cook in a different fashion please just use the package directions This is gorgeous, tasty rice. Beautiful to serve and very healthy Plus, very important, arsenic levels are low and if u don't know what I'm talking about look it up--especially if you're feeding kids. Just made a pot and added roasted mushrooms, scallions and tamari with toasted sesame seed oil--my friends devoured it--so a success. Enjoy, this iss phenomenal rice.

Good but too expensive.
It's good. It's tender almost like a white rice. The only drawback is the high price. It's slightly more like white rice than riceberry rice. I was surprised at how small that packet was. I think was 3.5 cups of uncooked rice. If you have money or really value the health benefits and you want to eat rice, this is the rice for you.

The Taste Is Top Tier!
I have no way to verify how true the antioxidant and health benefit claims of this rice are. This rice is a deep beautiful purple though so it’s not hard at all to believe that the antioxidant level is probably very high. With that said, I would buy this rice for the taste alone even if antioxidants and health benefits were not a part of the equation. It’s hard to describe exactly how this rice tastes but to me it has a very rich and savory taste to it. If you cook this in an Instant Pot it takes a good bit longer to cook than regular rice but it’s more than worth it! Regular rice in an instant pot is cooked under pressure for 3 minutes and then allowed to sit for 10 minutes while the pressure slowly releases. With this rice you cook it under pressure for 25 minutes and then allow it to sit and slowly release the pressure for 10 minutes. So 22 minutes longer to cook this rice. This rice is very sticky when cooked.

Wonderful Red Rice
I have trouble with white rice due to diabetes. I love parboiled rice, but must be cautious of the glycemic index. I don't want "enriched" grain products, because I read that they cause on to gain weight as a result of synthetic vitamins. Plus, I don't like basmati or jasmine rices. They have a slight burnt taste (to me). So I decided to try this. I cook it in chicken broth and seasonings. I love the firm texture and nutty taste. I WILL be buying more.
