Light weight as well; balanced with adjustable handles. Instructions in Austrian (I Google translated), the blade i got (not included) looks like folded high-carbon steel and is extremely sharp!The hex tool to mount the blade is in the handle's end.

My dad gave me a scythe and I was learning the different kinds- brush vs grass for the blade heads. I haven’t got my groove with this thing yet. Wish it had instructions but that can be found online in videos. Well made, seems like hardwood handles. Glad to have bought it. Now just to figure out if I’m doing this properly.

Can not adjust the grip and it made for permanent one side handle grip. So holding it in an uncomfortable position while working on it the whole process is very difficult.

I bought this sythe to remove berry vines, small saplings, poison oak, etc. Tough stuff. It will take a woody shoot as big as your finger. Lighter vines or French broom are actually very pleasant to mow. I cleaned up a 1/4 acre plot in about 4 hrs. I bought an Austrian ash snath with this sythe on amazon. Im a bit too tall for the snath. Here Im just rating the sythe.
