Great powered sub, fitment is very convenient
This compact powered sub is a great addition to the sound system I've installed in my 95 F150. It slides right under the bench seat and the added bass is definitely worth the price. Its definitely possible to run a dual setup, even 4 of these with the space I have. Very modular and fits great with other brand speakers

Great improvement to bass quality
Installed under the passenger seat in my 3rd gen Mazda 3. It took a while to configure correctly but I am very satisfied with the results. With a bit of tuning using an EQ, it sounds very nice and balanced.

Great subwoofer
Was genuinely impressed about the results. This subwoofer will easily do about 70% of music but when it comes to deep bass from electronic music, it definitely tries but obviously this wasn't its intention. If you already have a subwoofer and looking to pick up those DEEP mids then this is a perfect subwoofer 10/10

Poorly designed, non-serious audio company
Buyer beware, this unit does not work with your radio when using volume controls. You have to control it via a separate volume knob...if you turn your radio down the bass will still play at original volume until you turn it down on the included remote. This is a very low quality solution, spend your money on better underseat subs. Pioneer isn't a serious company making a product this bad with today's technology.

Simple Install! (Depending on your car!) Sounds Fantastic.
Installed today. Installation notes / Other things to buy:1. You will need an RCA cable splitter 2 into 1 likely2. You will need a fuse tap3. You will need to be aware of what fuse is accessory power, what cable on your head unit is power on, and where to groundInstalled in my beater buick century. I had previously installed a new head unit and updated speakers. No separate amplifier, as I picked speakers that were within power handling ranges that made sense with the HU (JVC KW-56 BT, baseline 5 1/2 infinity front, and... JBL 6x9s).Wanted a little more oomph, did not want a ton. Did not want to deal with running power to battery or pay someone to do it.This subwoofer has a low power draw of under 5 amps, and the instructions (and confirmed by crutchfield) note to fuse tap. I had no idea anything out there was made for this. It's small compared to the underseat options, but i took a chance.Honestly i'm pretty well blown away by how much it adds to the sound. It's very much a sound quality addition to your car. I mounted under the dash, inbetween the passenger and driver footwells. With the crossover set to approx. 90hz, and the gain set to approximately 2'oclock, its fantastic. Classic 90s hip hop, thrash metal, metalcore, EDM... it all sounds really, really good. I've had full systems with multiple amps before and pretty discerning ear for car audio.I can't speak for how good this would sound mounted under your seat. But pretty confident that if you put this in a car with the same goal I had, to get more sound quality on the bass and hear the lower ranges, And mount it in the passenger footwell or similar area...you're going to be very happy with this. Yes, 200 dollars is a lot of money for something this small. but the sound quality will absolutely surprise you.

Great sound, super small
I struggled to find something that could improve the sound in a Jeep TJ. Both my seats, drivers and passenger are a lift mechanism and there is very little room underneath them. This Jeep also didn't have the location in the center console, that came on later models -not sure I would want to sacrifice that space regardless. I didn't want anything basically to interfere with my limited space in this car, underneath the driver's seat is basically unusable. I found this speaker, it was one of the few that would actually fit. As for the unit, it has it's own amp, has great documentation (connecting to the factory stereo was a breeze - I did need to add a different wiring harness) and most importantly sounds fantastic. This thing sounds GREAT. Is it as good as a giant subwoofer? No, of course not - but it does sound fantastic. I would highly recommend it, I might install another in a 4Runner because it enhances the sound so well, without taking hardly any room at all.

Product Review: Pioneer TS-WX140DA Compact Active Subwoofer
I recently installed the Pioneer TS-WX140DA 8” x 5-1/4” Compact Active Subwoofer in my Acura TLX, which already has the ELS premium sound system. Given the promising specifications and Pioneer's reputation, I had high expectations for a noticeable enhancement in bass performance. However, the experience fell short of what I anticipated.Pros:Compact Design: The subwoofer's small, slim profile made it easy to install discreetly without taking up much space in the trunk.Simple Installation: With a built-in amplifier and included wiring kit, the installation process was straightforward, even for someone with limited car audio experience.Cons:Lack of Fullness in Sound: Despite the advertised 170 watts max power and "EV Optimized Sub" technology, the bass output was underwhelming. It did little to enhance the low-frequency range of the ELS system in the Acura TLX. The sound lacked depth and fullness, even when toggling between the three listening modes (Deep, Dynamic, and Natural).Distortion at High Volumes: Pushing the subwoofer to higher volumes introduced noticeable distortion, compromising sound quality. It struggled to handle bass-heavy tracks and felt strained when expected to deliver deep, punchy lows.Overpriced for the Quality: Given its lackluster performance, the price point feels unjustified. Better-performing subwoofers in this price range offer richer bass and better sound clarity.Overall Rating: 2/5While the Pioneer TS-WX140DA has a compact form factor and is easy to install, its lack of impactful bass and distortion at higher volumes make it a poor choice for anyone looking to significantly enhance their car audio experience. For the price, I expected much better performance. It is not recommended.
