I have been looking for an item like this in the states for a long time this was the best priced unit I could find excellent tool Saves a lot of time when doing inspections on cars when checking brake pad wear

This item gave 9mm pad wear when in actual fact from brand new car after six years of driving 60,000 odd miles the rear pads are actually worn down to 5 mm I used the Sealey VS059. This VS058 was supposed to enable the checking if the brake pads without removing the wheel so I did remove the wheel and used the VS059 which rests up against the rotor and measures to the backing plate of the brake pad and it read 5mm brake pad remaining or you can measure with the VS059 through the brake calliper inspection hole I could not get Sealer VS058 to give a correct pad depth no matter what I did seller refunded promptly but this tool was of no use to me.

help me lot, reduce time to check the outer brake pads.very easy to use.

Works well, not sure why it costs so much, but should last as it is a simple design..

Good product can't use on all cars, does work well on most cars saves allot of time, and it's more accurate than visual checks
