Classic
We home schooled for 5th grade to see if we could help the kids catch up to their level . Teachers have reported the kids are almost to level now it's about being consistent.I have seen improvement in my 11 year olds vocabulary since starting these books. I see value in using these for additional practice over breaks ,summer or for the purpose of home school.

Expanding Vocab for Kids
My son used this book to help expand his vocabulary. It was helpful and he enjoyed learning while not being too much work and not overly difficult.

My son enjoys these quick lessons. My only complaint ...
My son enjoys these quick lessons. My only complaint is that there was a typo in the very first lesson. It was a classification exercise and their answer to what class a sea turtle is was amphibian. Sea turtles are reptiles.

Struggling readers need this to improve their vocabulary!
We purchased this book as a supplement to our normal summer workbooks to help with reading comprehension. This book is well written and easy to follow. We will be looking for more like this in the future.

not overwhelming
My son does not like writing, reading, etc. He always just glances through and makes a guess. Previously, I got reading workbooks and language art workbooks. It took forever to finish. Usually, reading workbooks have one page of reading and one page with questions. Yes, one page of reading is too much for my son. One page of questions is too much of reading, too. I found that this vocabulary workbook is much simpler and quicker. My son at least don't complain when he has to do this. He actually reads questions and writes answers. All simple and quick, but I think it's a little step forward for our struggle in language art. I would recommend this to those who hates reading and writing.
