Easy Pickins EP-FH-1 Fruit Picker Basket with Funnel, Green

We've been using a homemade apple picker for years and decided it was time to have something a little nicer. After searching online, just about every other picker was the same wired basket but I was looking for something different and this was just what I was looking for. It's pricier than the wired basket pickers but it worked great and didn't pierced the apples. It comes with a really long orange chute for the apples to run down but we didn't need a long chute so I just made a quick little bag that we attached to the picker with those 3M hooks.The picker doesn't come with a pole so we used the extendable pole that came with our light bulb changer (for changing light bulbs on high ceilings)). Worked great with the picker bc it was light weight yet a strong aluminum pole and it could extend 3x it's length.The picker head is hard plastic so we were careful not to bang the picker head when transporting just in case it might crack.All in all, we are very happy with this picker and highly recommend it for the next apple picking season.

Loved this product. Made picking our cherries 100% better and saved so much time. The long capture sleeve is fantastic! Easy to handle and empty.

This worked well...the only problem I had was that my avocados were kinda big and it didn't roll down the sleeve..and picker is 3in in diameter...so it wasn't the pickers fault...but all n all it worked well...I recommend if fruit your picking isn't bigger than 3 inches in diameter...

I have three apple trees and picking usually takes days and several helpers. With this fruit picker I was able to get my trees picked in one day. It was so easy to use, and so efficient! My kids were even able to use it with ease. I was able to reach fruit that I would have left on the tree in the past. Well designed and truly a great product!

This works so well. I’ve used other fruit pickers and had to dump fruit one by one from those fruit pickers to the basket on the ground but this fruit picker removes that step. It makes fruit picking quicker and smoother allowing me to pick one fruit after another without turning to dump it. I just used my painting extension pole and screwed this on the head of it. Also love that it drops down the chute smoothly without bruising my apricots and peaches. Great product.

It helps a bit at reducing bruising, but your neck will wear out and need breaks. If the sleeve is straight, the bruising is actually worse as the ensure there is contact at high velocity. It's best to have someone else catch them if you want to reduce bruising.The worst part though, the tension screw. It is in real thin plastic and does not stay put...unless you overtighten and break it. I was battling trying to finesse the screw without damaging the plastic threads, but it's not possible. Just a poor design having a metal screw in a plastic threaded hole for something so critical. It is so critical that as soon as it loosened enough to start spinning, it was not possible to pick anymore and you have to bring the whole assembly down and fix it.The customer service answer to my inquiry about a better technique simple said to tighten it just enough and no more, pretty useless comment and feels a bit condescending.I will be waiting for improvements before purchasing again. For now, the 'ol basket will have to do, and really is less tedious than constantly tightening the tension screw on this "easy" picker.

Difficult to get the right angle to pick fruit

I absolutely love this thing! I took a gamble since there weren't many reviews, but I am glad I did. It is so easy to use! I attached it to an extending paint stick and was able to reach most of the places on our peach trees. The peaches were a touch too soft to let them pile up in the chute, but I think it would work great for something a little more firm. We just had to roll them out more often.
