Good product but need oversight in packaging
I had to return the first mailbox because of no mounting plate and no hardware plus the shipping box was taped heavily because of torn package Just received the replacement mailbox. Package was OK but still a little torn only problem this time the top roof that slides on to hold box together the slots that are groves to slide to interlock it together had extra plastic in the molding and I had to take xtra time to trim it to fit It’s a great looking mailbox hope I don’t have any other issues when I go to put it up

Worth the purchase
Super easy install and assembly, looks great. Including setting the new post (quick set concrete used), this took my husband about 45 minutes.

Nice looking mailbox and held up pretty good until it got hit. Amazon replaced mine after hitting it with their vehicle.

Highly Recommend
This is my second mailbox. Someone ran in to the first one that I had. I liked it so much that I bought same one to replace first. I highly recommend. It's an attractive look. A few of my neighbors ended up getting the same one after I had mine installed.

This bracket is not supporting any weight, yet it bows and looks horrific.
I read all the reviews on this item, and the majority of them were quite positive. I have to say I did not have the same experience. I was a home improvement manager for 20 years, so installation really isn't an issue. However, design on this unit certainly is. After you drop the two plastic surrounds over your 4x4, the only thing you attach is just a metal lever with a plastic cover. However, the plastic cover does not screw flush. I uninstalled it twice and there is a bow to the plastic L bracket of this unit. I wrote to the company, no reply. I am quite disappointed. I would not recommend this item.
