A list of jobs
I bought this book to spark conversation with a teenager I work with for planning ahead for what he may be interested in for a potential future career or even a first part-time job. It was interesting and sparked alot of conversation. I don't recommend this book for one to sit and read as it's pretty much one big list of jobs but we utilized the table of contents and went to those jobs when interest was peaked to find out more information about it. Overall, it helped us have good conversations throughout.

Helpful!
I got this book so my kids and I could have a set list of careers that are available to them. I suppose we could have gone to Google or chapGPT, but I loved the layout and ability to sit away from phones and computers and actually look at the jobs and descriptions together. I hope it opens their eyes to the possibilities ahead! There are so many options!

200 jobs but not a lot of useful information
The thing with job guides is that they have to be relevant to the economic landscape and current job market. This book does describe 200 jobs but doesn't include any salary or educational information in them. There is no current stats or super relevant cultural information about the jobs. There's also no pathways to each job explained. This reads as a book for someone much younger but not written for a younger audience. It can at least be a brainstorm starting point for someone trying to determined a job pathway.

Career Guide
This is more of an introductory book to career planning, where you can see all the possibilities with each unique career path and explore the areas of interest more.

Doesnt give job salary or projected demand
Didn't like that it doesn't give job salary range or projected job demand.

Comprehensive list
I enjoyed the comprehensive list of occupations in the book. There were a lot of lesser-known occupations. This would be good for anyone who is undecided about a career or who is to change careers.

I gave as a gag gift
My niece just graduated and is feeling a little lost in terms of what direction to go. I made a gift basket with some fun stuff regarding future plans and this was a fun add. While it is really just a description for several jobs, I am not sure it will be very valuable realistically.
