I have owned a few different kinds of vacuums through the years..and my mom had one of these when I came to take care of her over ten years ago..I have been using this vacuum since I came and it lasted for over that 10 year period and did not loose any suction in 10 yrs and 2.5 months it worked perfectly..I love that it is bagless and easy to use..I do use an extention cord..but that would be expected of any vacuum cleaner over the vast expanse of a home..I don't care that the on off button is in an unusual or located in an unaccustomed place..What matters to me is the suction power, the durability and longevity of a product..so it gets 5 stars from me..Thank you Hoover for being such a long standing company with a highly valued reputation. Keep up the good work and affordable pricing.

I bought a Hoover wind tunnel back in 2011 and it recently needed some minor repairs. I could have fixed it but decided it was time for a new one. I am sure glad that I bought another wind tunnel from Hoover. It's way more powerful than my old model and I can't beleive how much dust it sucked up after the first use! I'm happy with my Hoover and hope this one lasts me as long as the previous one.

Works great, but getting to the filter is so difficult that my wife can't do it.

No matter what setting I put this on the dirt comes out the bottom. I have tile floors and a little bit of thin rugs. There is very little dirt in the filter, I cant figure it out. The belt spins and the brush too.Plus, this is a very heavy vacuume

Great Vacuum - Severely damaged box & Worthless Warranty Support from HooverMy 2nd Wind Tunnel (Maintenance man ruined my 1st one using it as a shop-vac) - oh boy does it ever have some suction power! that and the HEPA filters are great. Its durability is that of a tank, and pretty heavy like one too. Great assortment of attachments that have some reach on them. I made the error of NOT selecting Amazon re-packaging and paid dearly - the box was totally mangled to the point the ONE screw needed to connect handle disappeared along with the manual. the vacuum wasnt damaged so I felt I could salvage a bad situation. Amazon CS helped and put me in touch with Hoover to get ONE SCREW. Did I tell you I only needed ONE SCREW? 30 min on a call w/Hoover CSR located somewhere on the Pacific rim who was barely legible, and then the run-around needed tons of pictures just to get someone to even consider sending ONE SCREW. A week later HOOVER responded and wanted MORE documentation FOR ONE SCREW. Good thing I went down to a strip mall close by that had a vacuum shop and they got me hooked up with ONE SCREW. Tried to do the right thing. Hoover lost a customer forever.

This is the second Hoover vacuum cleaner I’ve owned. I’ve had my first one for at least six years and it still works great the only reason I bought a new one is because the wheels broke and replacements are not available. Great suction and cleans great.

This is my first rewind unit. The vacuum it replaced was over 16 years old. I replaced it because I used it for my outdoor crafting shed and it worked so well, I decided to replace our indoor unit. This new vacuum does not have the same suction power as my old one. The hose with attachments is very stiff so it's difficult to get into the smaller spaces & the suction is less than what I'm used to. I wished they had the same style as my older one. It was lighter, easier to manage with fantastic suction. So much for updated technology I guess. This is my first time using it & have other areas to clean. I'm hoping the cord rewind will work which is the main reason I chose this model.
