Great cheap radios for kids
Forget the 4 packs of radios from the local big box store, these are cheaper and better quality. I purchased these for my kids so they don't want to take my expensive radios out to leave in the rain or get lost. These fit the bill perfectly and work great for family hikes where we might not all be together. No license needed, and inexpensive too!

If you’re thinking about getting them, get them it’s worth it
Used these for trail riding with my buddies, they work really well considering the radius of 1 1/2 miles, the clarity seems to get really bad if you get far enough away through some trees and terrain, but we’re talking very far away, within 100 feet they work beautifully well even up to 1000 + feet, they’re very versatile and fit just about anywhere, extremely easy to use (a 6 year old could probably figure it out)

Yes, repeater capable (if you're licensed)
I bought a set of 4 of these for my nephews Cub Scout pack as a donation. Received my 4-pack of these GT-68s today and decided to reprogram one to a local GMRS repeater just to see if it would work. Sure enough, I hit it and was able to talk on only two watts. If you have a repeater in your area and need something inexpensive for the family, get some of these and your FCC GMRS license. The license applies to your immediate AND extended family members. Check the mygmrs dot com website for details on local repeaters.

I like they are Baofeng. I use their uv5r’s for years. If cell towers go down, these will give me communicationlocally with neighbors/teammates.One star off for not being able to know when fully charged . I seeno green light indicating full charge.Happy with purchase.

Good Bang for your buck.
I like the product we used it in harvesting rice land leveling and so on works well within 600. Yard's not so much after that distance. But for 49 bucks for 4 radios and chargers, you can't beat it.

Great product!
Great product !!! Radio works great in our community for security reasons. Will be getting more. The only downfall is the headsets.. they are too soft to hear. Like listening thru a straw. May get the hand mics.

These are NOT set up for FRS! Not FCC compliant!
Please double check these before you use them! I just received these today and they were not working as expected with my existing GMRS radios. I downloaded the stock configuration with a computer and the channels are not within the FRS band, as shown in the manual. They're all over the LICENSED UHF land mobile bands, one is even in the 70 cm amateur band. I verified that they are transmitting out of band by tuning my Yaesu VX-7 to each frequency and I got a strong clear signal. See picture for the actual frequencies.

Battery issues.
After fully charging, and leaving plugged in, I removed power to it to charge another item. Less than 24 hours I was receiving low battery warning. Attempted to contact Baofeng but was told they could not assist is they were not the direct seller. May consider returning.Update. After discussing situation with seller we were unable to come to an agreement on the replacement of the item. These have been passed out through the neighborhood and at this point I requested just battery replacements but not an option. For now I will just keep these with the issue as they're all passed out to neighbors currently. Understand that if you purchase these you may have the same issue.
