C. Crane CC Vector RV Long Range WiFi Repeater System 2.4 GHz- Extends Distant WiFi to All Devices in Your RV, Boat or Big Rig

Situation: In an RV park for an extended stay. Park WiFi is okay and I researched methods to make the WiFi connection somewhat more reliable, expecially for video streaming (Amazon Prime and DirecTv). Hardware setup was rather straight forward. Have been with tech support twice and some encouraging results (latest was yesterday). However today I am back at step 1. The CCrane refuses to maintain a reliable USB connection between the antenna and the WiFi repeater. I am getting tired of switching from the park WiFi to the CCrane setup to maintain a reliable WiFi signal. I am in direct line of sight with the parks antenna and even installed a taller mast to increase the elevation of the CCrane antenna which is now 3' above my rv. Still the same problems. Good USB connection for anywhere from 5seconds to several minutes is the best that I can get. But as soon as I try to connect to the CCrane, the USB connection drops. Have done the power up/power down, disconnect USB many times this morning and nothing seems to work. Will contact tech support again but I am getting to my wits end. Picture 1 show the current antenna mount, picture 2 shows the park WiFi antenna just to the left of the US Flag. Distance less than 200ft.UPDATE: I have been in contact with tech support. The latest try resulted in CCRANE sending out a new USB cable and WiFi receiver. I was finally able to connect the new receiver and cable yesterday (10 Jun 20). It has been working as best as I can figure out, flawlessly for over 24hrs. Great job!!

This thing is great! I tried some less expensive options which cost me a lot of frustration and time. I sent them back! This C. Crane did exactly what it was suppose to do the first time without any hassle. Directions were easy to follow. It found my weak house Wi-Fi signal easily and was easy to set up and install. Setting it up took less than 20 minutes. The install took me a little longer. I Experimented with it on the side of my shop instead of on a pole. It worked well, so I installed it directly to the side of my shop. It is located about 200ft from my house. I use it to stream on my smart TV in my shop along with two garage door openers and a window AC unit connected to it without any trouble! I highly recommend!

This is the SECOND powered wifi antenna I bought from C Crane and it is the SECOND one to FAIL and has to be replaced - Its been installed two weeks and it is dead. I actually work from home and NEED this to transmit WORK - it is unbelievable to me that in 2020 a company is incapable of producing something as simple as a WIFI antenna???? Read the reviews of how many people had to return their for replacement. Its as if they send you the rejects and hope it works and if not then they pull one off the shelf that does work and send it to you meanwhile you are OUT of luck for the 4-weeks they will take to send you a replacement.

Easy straight forward set up. Picked up signal .20 miles away but fails to amplify enough to operate consistently. Tried even right next to my house Modem/Router and failed to operate consistently off of. Several attempts at calling Tech Support and could not get ahold of anyone when I had the time.

Just a word of warning that it is best to plug this into a surge protector (not just a cheap power strip) as it is very sensitive to power fluctuations which can be common on boats and RVs. We use this on a boat in a marina to bring the marina's wifi signal into the interior of the boat. Had to replace my first one, the customer service/tech support was extremely polite and helpful.

Very easy to setup. I placed the antenna outside of my metal building and placed the repeater inside the building in a central point. I now have excellent signal strength where before the signal to too weak to be usable. I am very happy with the value that I received for the price. It feels like a wired connection for speed. The device security is very good as well. I highly recommend this product.

UPDATE 8 months later....Finally installed a tv in my shop. Tried doing a ethernet directly into the CCRANE Lan port and I can't maintain a signal to the tv without dropouts. Even streaming music is touch and go. I have tried different antenna locations and attitudes with no change. The system keeps loosing connection to my home router. What is crazy is I can stand at the antenna location outside my building and my phone will connect to my home wifi with 2 bars and have zero issues streaming with speed tests showing well over 70mbs. There appears to be some issue with this system not being able to maintain the bridge connection.I never leave reviews, but this product is amazing. I recently built a metal shop about 200 feet from my home. The metal building kills all wifi the second you walk through the door. I have tried wifi boosters through electrical outlets, Orbi, and Linsys extenders with zero results. So I bit the bullet and purchased this. From the second I opened the box, I knew this was a quality product. The level of attention to packaging, installation accessories, and the manual are amazing. After an easy install I now have amazing wifi coverage in my building and most of my back yard. I was blown away by the number of home internet connections this antenna picked up from the neighborhoods around me. Well over 20 besides my own. That is no small task seeing my home is in the middle of a 8 acre field and the nearest dwelling is roughly 1/4 a mile. Don't hesitate to spend the money on this product.

I bought this for my RV which is about 300 yards from the main house. I have tried several other Wifi repeaters and extenders with very little luck. I even bought a Winegard (which was way too expensive) and still didn’t work! I figured this was cheap enough to try and the reviews were good. WOW!! This thing is amazing! It took about 15min to set up. It told me I was only getting 10% signal from the main house but once this CCrane latched on to it...BOOM full signal! iPhone, laptop, PlayStation all working well! I haven’t tested the Apple TV but I bet it will be good to go! I definitely recommend this for anyone that has a tough time reaching WiFi!
