Quality Product
A nice, sturdy high quality clippers! Very well made and is good for smaller hands. After using a clipper with no spring and having to re-open it after every cut-this is a slice of heaven! Very good quality and affordable product. Blade is very sharp and cuts evenly. Love it!

Very sharp, will rust
I needed sharp clippers to prune my lemon tree. These are very sharp and worked well. They are high carbon steel and will rust and do come covered in non-stinky oil. I have had high carbon steel tools in the past and they stay sharp a long time with some maintenance and care. Keep greased up with mineral oil, clipper oil or any fine machine type oil. The "blueing" process is helpful, but these have teflon on them so no open flame. After use and cleaning, blow dry with a hair dryer on high or heat gun on low. While hot apply mineral oil and let it bond with the metal edge (not the teflon). You need to do this occasionally after cleaning with steel wool once in a while. Keep oiled up or they will rust. Don't leave out in the rain. If you don't want to do the oily maintenance, buy titanium or stainless steel blades for more money. With a little maintenance, though, carbon steel stays sharp and is really worth it. My only complaint with this pair of clippers is they kind of stick in the joint and don't open all the way easily. The spring just isn't quite strong enough for the resistance. I expect they will wear in with time and become easier. I oiled them up better and worked them a bit and that seemed to help already. I like the handles: they are like some old clippers I lost that I liked.

Great pruning shears for smaller arthritic hands
Very pleased with these shears. They are not only ergonomic-friendly with a soft spring-loaded grip, but the handles can be adjusted to fit smaller hands or larger hands. The lock mechanism to close the blades during storage is easy to thumb open or closed. The blades themselves offer a precise cut. Very pleased with my purchase!
