US Energy Products R-8 HVAC Duct Wrap Insulation Reflective Double Sided Foam Core (Class 1-A ASTM FIRE Rated) (AD5 1/4INCH Thick) 1FT X 5FT (5SQFT)

My home is in close to proximity to Death Valley CA. The heat is insane in summer months 110-120 degrees. The ac is on 24/7 and too expensive. I debated between window film and this insulation. I decided to try it out on 2 windows with direct sun exposure all day. I ordered 2 of the precut pieces of the insulation. It was easy to install and taking 2 minutes . I cut the width down with a knife while it was rolled up and then unrolled it and wedged it into the window frame. I didn’t need tape, Velcro, or any other material to keep it in place.The result was absolutely amazing. The temperature in the room with insulation was reduced by 20+ degrees! Reducing the heat in that room reduced the overall temperature in the rest of the house. I was so impressed that I ordered more for other windows with heavy sun exposure. I believe it is more effective than traditional window film, easier to install, & less expensive. It does block out all sunlight so I didn’t use it on all windows. It is also really easy to pull it away from the window if I need to see out and then just push back in.I can now set my ac to 80 and it rarely goes on since installing this insulation. Our electrical bill was reduced from $400+ a month in summer 2023 to just around $200-250. We are thrilled with the savings without sacrificing comfort. On extremely hot days we turn the ac on & set it at 74 degrees to cool the house down at 6 am for about 1-2 hours. On most days the house never reaches 80 degrees until after 4-5 pm. The ac is auto set to 80 degrees for the evening. About an hour before bed we turn the ac down again to 74 for about an hour then turn it off. We are generally comfortable all night. This routine in tandem with the insulation has been a life saver for summer and hopefully as effective for winter months when we get into the 20 degree temps.I highly recommend it on windows that have heavy sun exposure.

Bought this last year to line the outdoor cathouse I have. I obviously can't tell how well it really works in keeping it warmer, but I did line the entire house with it inside, so I know I did my part. I covered all surfaces and since the material is reflective and has an insulation within, I'm assuming it works, especially since the cats use it during the winter time.

Great product and very easy to use. I couldn't recommend it more.Needed to insulate the basement ductwork for a new HVAC (forced air) in a large 150 year old house. It's usually between 50° F and 60° F in the basement so we were losing a lot of heat from the furnace to the registers.After wrapping the ductwork, the first floor registers' air temperatures are now between 5° F and 20° F warmer (about 10°F on average).

It is easy to cut, and install which is good when in crawl spaces. I could not believe the heat loss that was in there. I think it is a great product , and shipping was fast.

Easy to Handle. Insulated some Heating Ducts that run through an unconditioned Basement Room. Easy to Cut and Mold to the Ducts. Metal Tape the Seams, and you're done.

I used this to cover unused return air ducts on my heating system. I had previously used fiberglass insulation, but it was awkward to work with and didn't look good. This was easy to cut, easy to fit, and the reflective coating blends in better than the pink fiberglass from before. It definitely stops the air flow.

Delivery was delayed and took 14 days to arrive. I use this to insulate my HVAC A-Coil box from the outside and appears to work well. The product package does not provide an R-value and my temp sensor shown a 5F different after installed.

Love it worked great in my kitchen.
