brilliant spy thriller!
An excellent, easy read. Twists and turns and exciting globe trotting locations. A thriller mot to be missed. Very enjoyable and a look into a world of espionage.

A well crafted story of under cover agents
This story keeps you guessing from start to finish as to who is behind the orders to assassinate foreign leaders. And there. Is only one man for the job. Another excellent Jeffrey Archer story.

Brilliant
I am. not usually a lover of the "spy" type books but as it was written by JA I thought I would give it a chance. I think I have read almost every book he has written but for some reason missed this one. Anyway.........really enjoyed it and as usual I was totally absorbed in the story. It may not be a literary masterpiece but in terms of something you can read and forget the world around you for a while it is an absolute classic for me.

WORKMANLIKE
I was introduced to Archer's writing when I read his 'Prison Diaries', which I found compelling. They made me want to read one of his novels. This one I enjoyed and it passes my Beach Read Test. The plot has the right amount of complexity, the writing is clear, and the protagonist interesting. Conversely, the antagonist is rather feintly-drawn. And I didn't care as much for the over-long back-story of the protagonist's family as the author might have wanted me to be. Also, book-clubs might like to consider if one of the big reveals compromises the surprise of another. Will I try another of Archer's novels? Yes, I think I will.

Great read
I loved the book with the exception of the last bit. He should have left that out, but still a great read anyway.
