Very helpful for me as a newb to watercolor. Each paper type has its own characteristics that can be utilized depending on what effects you are looking for. Would recommend if you’re curious about differences between hot press, cold press and rough press without investing too much on paper you may not appreciate.

Great way to try the paper!
It's like a journal in itself- bound nicely. I am a hot press paper kind of person though, so I really didn't need all the cold and rough, along side the other sample pack I tried too. But I've had fun with it anyway and will make use of all of it eventually. The rough and cold press papers are *too* rough for my style. Out of all the samples between two orders, I have decided I like the hot press artist's grade and cold press student grade (most smooth of their cold press offerings). Glad to have the sample packs! Baohong is great!! :-D

Postcard Size
I am happy to have gotten this many artist grade sample papers. I was not too happy with the size. I think a little bigger would have been ideal. I do like the concept and how each area is properly label and embossed. I do love the Artist one more than the student grade. The first time I try this paper it was with ArteMiranda from Spain, I got 6 full sheets in my artist grade pack.

Good paper
I don't think it's quite as good as Arches, but it's pretty solid. I wasn't willing to buy on t e m u, where everyone seems to buy it, but I liked the variety pack for trying it out. Seems good so far. It takes water well and pigment shows up pretty good.

I’m so very glad I gave these a try, this is quality watercolor paper. Now when I order the full size pad, I know that I’m getting exactly what I need and want. Plus getting to experiment with cold, hot, and rough watercolor paper for under $10 is phenomenal.

far smaller than i realized i dislike
a waste of money in my opinion.. texture different on both sides too small also..dont buy 29 mm.. useless size
