Good piece of kit as far as it goes
I bought one of these shapeners to use on my secateurs but the head of the business end is too large to fit between the blades at the narrow end when open

Simple to use and does work extremely well

I found it difficult to sharpen the whole blade
I bought this to sharpen a range of garden tools - shears, secateurs, lawn edge trimmer - but found it difficult to sharpen more than the ends of the blades due to the design and the fact that several tools didn't open wide enough. I couldn't sharpen the secateurs at all. It is possibly OK for knives or scissors, but I have now ordered a sharpening stone for the other tools and hope I have more success.

Wish I'd had one before now!
