Perfect for colored pencils
Wow this is such a great sharpener for colored pencils! I love that you can change the angle so that you can adjust how long you want the tip to be, and it is sharp on every setting. It works great on cheap and more expensive colored pencils, and doesn't waste a lot of lead while sharpening. I love this thing!

The STAD T'GAAL Adjustable Angle Sharpener is the BEST
The Kutsuwa STAD T'GAAL adjustable-angle pencil sharpener is superior to other hand-held, compact sharpeners I've tried (including upscale, big-name aluminum-cast, stylish sharpeners costing quintuple the price).Lately, I've taken to collecting free IKEA pencils to be used as sharpener testers since so many hand-held sharpeners have been disappointing. I wasn't willing to sacrifice my favorite pencils when trying out new sharpeners anymore. I was surprised at how well the STAAD T"GAAL sharpened!I used the STAD T'GAAL consistently for months—day after day. It sharpened Staedtler, Faber-Castell, Blackwing, Mitsubishi, Derwent, Tombow, Caran d'Ache, and Prismacolor (and free IKEA pencils) beautifully. The results were impressive across all grades: 9H to 2H, F, HB, and 2B to 9B.The STAD T'GAAL sharpener has five different sharpening angle settings. Options One and Two produce a shorter, sturdier tip (perfect for colored pencils). Options Three to Five produce a more extended, sharper, long-point (great for harder lead graphite pencils). It's lightweight and the perfect hand-held size: 2.5"/ 63mm x 1"/27mm.

It has only one job and it does it well. SHARPEN IT!
It's a pencil sharpener. It has only one job and it does it very well. Love it that I am able to choose 5 different types of angle. I prefer #1.

This sharpener is great!
This is one very nice sharpener! It’s adjustable, it’s quiet, it’s easy to use, it’s small, it works wonders on sketching pencils to have that high point and prismacolors for that perfect blunt point. It’s very easy to use, it’s a great manual sharpener and it gets the job done fast. Easy to carry and very portable. It doesn’t have the biggest holding chamber in it so emptying it is a frequent thing which is its only flaw. I would definitely buy this again because of the prismacolors.

Blade is non replaceable.
Good sharpener. The blade is non replaceable. I've never seen a blade this size so I assume it unique to this sharpener. Definitely one of the best sharpeners I've ever had. If there was a full metal version I'd buy in a heart beat also replaceable blades would be nice.

Finally... an end game sharpener
I have tried 7, yes 7 different sharpeners like this over the years. From Staedler, prismacolor, Faber Castel, Derwint, you name it and not a single one I thought was good. They all had issues with trying to get a fine tip without breaking. I ran across this one it was mentioned in an art blog I was reading and thought might as well try it out and OH MY GOD I am glad I did. Absolute game changer. This is by far the best sharpener you can get it blows the others out of the water. You can get nice long tips, short tips, everything in-between it just works soooo dang good its some kind of sorcery I swear. I bought 2 more cause they are so cheap and keep them in different parts of the house so I dont have to go looking for it ever. Thank you to whoever designed this thing, its saved me $$ from not breaking so many tips trying to get a good point, especially with prismacolor pencils I used to break tips constantly with other sharpeners but not this one. LOVE IT. I am going to buy more to give as gifts.

It just plain doesn't work
The media could not be loaded. Definitely not a fan, and all I can think is that it's defective. I bought one of these months ago and I gave it to a friend since it was cheap and easy to replace. But when I bought one just last week, I was more than disappointed. I don't understand why it won't touch the tip of the pencil whatsoever, like it does not sharpen my pencils. I have tried my prismacolors, multiple different types of graphite and it does do well with the harder graphites, but anything like 3B or beyond, it's a joke. I literally have a prismacolor here also that is completely domed at the top. I'm talking like crayon. No matter what setting I put it on it just will not touch it. My box cutter does a better job. Super disappointed and definitely will not be buying this product again. All I can think is that it's from a different seller than the more popular rated one. Although this is the same company I bought mine from last time. Just because it says who the product is by at the top of the page doesn't mean that when you scroll down you can't see that it's a different company fulfilling it and I have a sneaking suspicion that it matters far more than Amazon has led us to believe.

It was very good all the modes work well and come out super sharp. They work very well with prismacolors too. This is so good for the price. It also looks great overall this is a amazing sharpener.
