Works great but go slow or else you can crack the socket
It works well. I used it to clear a 1 1/2 socket that I was trying to to ream out and use again. Alignment of the bit was easy and kept me from drifting. But really really go it slow cause you could cause it to shake the pipe or cause the socket to crack. Otherwise it worked fine.

Time saver and great value for what it saves you in time.
Never knew they made such a tool. Needed this speciality tool and Shazam, it worked perfectly saving a bathroom removal job hours of costly rework. A great thing if you need one!

Did the job
This worked pretty good but when auguring out a 90 deg fitting the pilot will not go past the the end of the socket so I was only able to go about a half inch in, but that was enough.

A ream come true
Worked very well to re-use a 1.5" elbow in the wall without tearing into the drywall. I ran the drill at low speed, constantly checking to make sure I was perpendicular (though I think the smaller diameter guide is long enough to prevent the drill from skewing too much), and even though I'd taped a depth mark on the cutter, I could feel it break through the old pipe and glue just before I reached that mark. The reamer did bind a couple of times but low speed helped with that, and it was not a problem over all. In the photo of the reamed elbow, I hadn't yet cleaned out the debris--what looks like a step where the reamer stopped is actually a loose ring that was the very end of the pipe where glue hadn't reached in the old joint, and it popped right out when I cleaned up the plastic shavings, leaving the bevel of the original fitting showing clean. I haven't used the 2" adapter, but it all looks well made, and the included hex wrenches do not have excessive play in the bolts that I could reach (not the one that secures the movable tool steel holder for the carbide cutter). I do wish there were some protective padding for the carbide cutter; I ended up cutting the bubble pack envelope the box came in to make a smaller padded sleeve for the cutter that still fits in the box, which will isolate the brittle cutter from drops or just jostling in a tool drawer.

Half good half bad
The 1.5” worked ok but be ready to snap your wrists if it catches. The 2” is not the correct size for the 2” pvc

Works great!
Well made. A true gem of a tool if you need it.

Working on my pool solar system
Had to pull the pool solar off of my roof, for a house reroof.Needed to save some of the 2" couplers.Worked well and removed the old pipe remnants from the couplers.A little rough on the inside of the coupler. The real test will be when I reglue the pipe and couplers together.Update will be in a month. I will update then.
