Good for science experiments
We used these while assembling my daughter's science experiment. It made repeatability of the experiments easier because we could hook wires to the battery holders and simply replace the batteries.

Made them into starter batteries for kids to use in starting Cox .049 engines. 2 D cells in parallel with a Cox engine clip. (You must take apart the clip to make sure wires are actually soldered.)

Low quality battery holder
It was a good idea how they slid and lock into one another just it was very low quality…it falls apart easily, the batteries don’t make good contact. Not worth it.
