Wooden ramp was rotting. A new wood ramp would mean a lot of construction work that I'd have a hard time with. Plus it isn't even any cheaper to do that. I expect aluminum to last longer too. Plus it's non-slip. A couple tips: One is to push dirt around at the base in any way required to minimize movements of the ramp that you may notice as you try and walk down it. Two is to consider getting a roll of grip tape and putting pieces long the center hinge line since there is no grip tape there, and there is a slight concern of slipping if someone just perfectly gets their footing wrong. Very unlikely, but possible and fixable. Great ramp. I shopped through ALL OF THEM before buying this one. No one needs a wheel chair on this ramp. This is just for walking through the garden. Also, we are using it at a steeper angle than is advertised. It works.

This ramp may be okay for light duty but it cracked the first time I used it. Total waste of money.

I like the ramp. I like the design. Most Ramps have a hinge sticking up in the middle. The designers of this ramp made the hinge pop out on the bottom where it is not seen or in the way.. However, it is my opinion this ramp will not withstand my 250lb weight for the long hall which is only 4 stars. I am keeping ramp and setting up papers under it to support it

This item is an excellent. It allows a wheelchair to move quickly on an incline safely. It's foldable design is brilliant and the set up is easy. I higly recommend this product .

This ramp is good for my wheel chair usage. It accommodates over 300 or more pounds.
