Really good zoom capability
Like most of the reolink cameras I've bought, this has been a great addition. Basic camera is a good 4k quality, works pretty well in low light but better CX options obviously.3 x optical zoom is a great feature, allows it to be placed right back from the area it's monitoring

Really impressed
I have just upgraded from some older RLC-410s and am very impressed with this camera. The person and car detection is great. Previously I got so many false alerts and ended up setting for 24hr record. These new cameras work perfect and I have much less false alerts and now only need to record movement. Two things I was worried about:* only one led spotlight - had thought there wouldn’t be much light but I’ve had to turn down brightness it’s so bright* no night vision - it has two ir sensors and I fine night time quality decent even without the spotlight being on. Think it’s being hard in itself by saying it doesn’t have this feature

Another quality camera!
Bought this to add to the 4 cameras I already have.Usual plug and play setup from Reolink. Plug in an RJ45 cable and away you go. This provides the data connection and power, through the NVR. It comes with a 1m RJ45 which in my opinion is absolutely pointless. I purchased a 20m cable which worked perfectly. This model was a slight upgrade from my other cameras, with LED spotlights and the addition of night vision.Using the Reolink app you have almost instant access to your cameras. Very user friendly and easy to setup. All in all very happy with this product.

Slightly disappointed so far but...
I bought this to replace an RLC-520, same place above the front door. All my cameras record to a Synology NAS.So far I have not been as happy with it as I was hoping. I liked the idea of colour night vision and it certainly delivers that but overall, the quality of night vision is not up to par with the 520 it replaced. Night vision under infra-red and colour (lit by bright but adjustable, white LED) is grainy, there's a lot of artefacts and some image shimmer, for want of a better term. Night vision is never going to be great but it is below the quality of the 520.I'm also noticing some video/audio sync issues with this camera in place. Side by side with the Reolink client, live view is out of sync with Surveillance Station but not the Reolink client; I tried a lower resolution with the camera and this fixed it for a while but it soon went out of sync again....so not a Reolink or camera issue, more Surveillance Station. Same issue has been reported over the years with different cameras so no doubt will be patched at some point.Pros:Great daytime video quality.A lot of configuration options available for movement detection, LED light brightness, siren triggering etc.Well made with a solid metal base-plate for fixing.PoE makes life easier.Cons:For me, not so great at night but colour night vision triggered when people walk past is a good option.Slightly bigger at the base but not an issue if you have room where you fix it.More expensive than the 520 and so far, not really any better except the addition of the colour night vision. If I can mess with settings and get it to work as well as the 520 then I'll be giving it 5 stars.

Works well with frigate and Home Assistant
I got this after having several other Reolink products. The day and night picture quality and distance are good for the price and spec. It integrates well with Frigate.

Not good at motion detection and not good without an NVR
The camera was easy to setup but that was the only plus point. The camera was bought for 24/7 recording with notification of motion events on a mobile phone. The camera was returned because it was not up to the job, mainly because the motion detection produced so many false positives, even with the sensitivity at the lowest settings. The main reason for the false positives is the dynamic range of the camera is very poor, shadows were very dark and bright spots were white'd out with no details on bright days, but when the lighting conditions changed e.g. the sun went in, then this would trigger the motion detection.Even the vehicle/person/pet detection option did not help because if there was a stationary vehicle in view then the lighting change would trigger a vehicle detection.Even an 8 year old 4 Megapixel big brand Camera it was due to replace produced better image quality on sunny days. If it was a grey day with even lighting conditions then the extra megapixels did produced better images. The night vision quality was OK, it had a bit of noise in it, the smart supplemental white light worked well on motion detect at night. Also the camera does not have remote storage capability you have to store the video using an SD card or stream to a NVR for recording.Using the SD card option with a class 10 SD card had problems, the class 10 was not really fast enough for recording and playback at the same time, the PC software would sometimes hang, go very slow or just fail when trying to download video for storage on the PC or playback. You will probably need a V30 or higher spec SD card which can be expensive (more expensive than the camera).A 256Gb (the max size) SD only had about storage for 2 days of video because it uses the very old H264 video compression not the newer H265 (which produces about twice the compression rate). The PC software live view was horrendous quality, barely HD, but the downloaded video or stills were reasonable quality and better than the 4 Megapixel 8 year old camera it was to replace if the lighting conditions were good for it.Now replaced with 8 Megapixel big brand professional camera that does not suffer all these problems which has a better dynamic range and thus no false positives on the motion detection.Overall you get what you pay for and this camera was cheap.
