Iceberg Thermal IceSLEET G4 OC Black CPU Air Cooler 4 Nickel-Plated Heatpipes with ARGB 120mm PWM Fan for Intel and AMD AM5 and LGA1700 Compatible

I have an older gaming rig that I upgraded to an AMD FX-8120. I used the stock cooler that was there and my temps would more or less be at 73c when gaming which was hot for this CPU's recommended temp. I also experienced that if I was rendering a video it would just shutdown. Bought this cooler so it would at least get the temps down up to the recommended operating temp range of the CPU. Installation was a breeze and upon testing the max temp that I get now is around 35C! I'm astounded. PC now works flawlessly and games better than before. definitely recommend this product for any one that needs better cooler than the stock cooler. One note of caution though is you have to check if it would fit your casing. This cooler is huge! In my case I had to add some shims to my case cover to make it to fit.

I have an older 1366 socket motherboard, and this was one of the few coolers that fits it (along with many other sockets). The installation was pretty easy, I did have to remove the motherboard to put in a new backplate, but other than that it was extremely straight forward. Came with thermal paste already applied and after installing solved my CPU overheating issues, went from 90+ degrees to 30ish. Product seems very sturdy and well built. Couldn't have hoped for more! Will keep an eye on Iceberg Thermal products for the future.

If you are using amd the cooler only allows you to install it with the fan facing up or down which is very ugly, doesn't show off the rgb, and isn't good temperatures wise either. And it even shows in the instruction it mounted normally but you can't. major design flaw.

Product states it is compatible with amd am4 socket and it is NOT no way no how unless you want the fan facing down if it will even fit because of your gpu and even if it fit your airflow would be little to none, or you could install it with fan facing the top of case drawing air in from top where you case fans or aio are drawing air out the top SMH .The big fail here is the brackets for amd are designed to go horizontal and that means the cooler needs to go horizontal they are too short to go vertical. I had high hopes and purchased 2 of these since i do love ICEBERG case fans but this is not even funny that nobody tried to mount this during R &D to see if it actually worked for amd sockets, unreal. I cannot comment on how they would work for intel sockets but it looks as if it would work fine on them pity though its a well made cooler just a major design flaw with the brackets.... in the picture of the contents it shows 2 sets of brackets neither of those come with this version, (only 1 set of brackets you use for both intel and amd. Now the back of the box list contents having 2 sets of brackets but opening the box the instructions content list only 1 universal set and only 1 set is included) and these have you mounting them horizontal for amd and vertical for intel they are way to short to mount vertical for amd but they will mount that way but good luck trying to get the cooling tower to mount horizontal and actually work...I have reached out to Iceberg Thermal several days ago and to date only an ai generated reply wanting my proof of purchase and where. If they send me the correct amd brackets i will edit this rate of 1 star, if not these will be returnedEDIT: Iceberg Thermal has sent me the correct brackets i need for amd. it appears there are 2 versions, the newer has the universal bracket./intel LGA 1700 hardware in the box. the first version has separate intel -amd brackets in the box and the LGA 1700 hardware universal bracket in a separate package. so if you get the new version and plan to use for amd you may need to reach out to Iceberg.

Nice went in nice and easy and keeps the temp on the CPU down better then the Stock cooler. Had it installed before I realized the fan was not the ARGB fan. But it was already installed and the old one tossed so oh well.

Does what it's supposed to & does it well. It's BIG though. Take note of stated dimensions and make sure it will actually fit in your case before ordering!

Has no problem keeping my 11700k cool.

This thing is pretty good size, I had to buy a different pc case in order for it to fit. But this thing is amazing. I have this on my ryzen 9 3900x. Idle it sits around 45c. under load it’ll push up around 55-60c. For this price I’d say it’s a good deal. I’m satisfied with this cooler and this brand. I ordered three more of the ice gale xtra 120mm fans.
