I should have bought one of these things years ago
To preface, I've used the twin gear style of masticating juicers, but those take up an obscene amount of countertop space while being a pain in the rear to clean. Sure they can eat almost anything but you have to make sure they will physically fit down the feed chute of the juicer.Enter the SOVIDER compact juicer.First off, the footprint of this marvelous little piece of engineering is tiny. I have dessert plates that take up more room. So that alone is a major win. I have tons of kitchen gadgets and only the most used items have earned the right to stay on my countertop.Second, the performance. I'm a numbers guy and I'll let the numbers speak for themselves. From 2 lbs 3.6 oz of cut cantaloupe, it produced 1lb 7.6oz of juice and 9oz of fairly dry pulp. Perfect, the little juicer that could. No problems with the crushing or ejection of pulp. Now for pineapple, this thing struggled a bit.4lbs 10.6oz of fruit made 3lbs of juice and only 4.4oz of dry pulp. It had issues with the fibery pineapple pulp and left beind 14.2oz of wet ish pulp inside the juicer. My twin gear didn't have this issue.HOWEVERThe motor in this thing is a beast. It kept chugging and never seemed to miss a beat regardless of how much fibrous pulp was clogging it. More or less unkillable and dirt simple to operate. The cleanup is where this thing shines. In under 3 minutes I'm able to tear it down, scrub out the screens, wash the containers, and have it on the drying racks ready for another round of juicing. My twin gear required about 15 mins to clean it.In conclusion,I'll take the limitations of it being able to completely extract every last bit of excessively fibrous fruit in exchange of the tiny footprint and super fast cleanup time. It's a great little machine and if you understand the limitations of the design and work within them, I think you'll be more than impressed.

Good price and works well
The media could not be loaded. I've had quite a few different juicers throughout the years but only one other cold press juicer that was a couple hundred dollars. This juicer while obviously not a several hundred dollar juicer actually does quite well.I had a dozen apples that needed to be used so as soon as the Amazon guy dropped this off I had it washed and ready to go. This juicer is pretty effective in getting good juice out of the fruit, the leftover pulp was pretty dry. This juicer was smaller than I was expecting but that actually turned out to be a good thing, kitchen storage is limited for us and this is easy to store since it takes up little space.Cleaning it seemed pretty easy and was quick. All and all I feel this is a good deal.

Excellent First Impression
First - this juicer is bigger than the pictures online look, but it still has a small footprint- so will work for my limited kitchen counter space. It is STURDY! I was surprised by its weight and the quality truly seems good throughout. It is relatively quiet for a juicer and it is easy to clean for the most part. The only area I had trouble with was by the juice spout- where some cabbage shreds got stuck - I had to work a bit to clear this area. HOWEVER, this could totally be my fault and not the juicers. Having never used a juicer like this- I over loaded the cut cabbage which caused a lot of it to get stuck to the sides and bottom. I cleaned it up, and the next round I cut slightly larger pieces and put in smaller amounts- this worked perfectly and in minutes I had a nice glass of juice. My first impression is that this is a winner. If that changes in the near future, I will update this review.

Removing parts is very difficult
The SOVIDER Up to 92% Juice Yield Compact Slow Masticating Juicer initially seemed like a promising addition to my kitchen, with its touted features such as a wide chute, high juice yield, and ease of cleaning. Unfortunately, my experience with this juicer has been far from satisfactory, and I find myself disappointed by its unreliable build quality.Pros:Efficient Juicing: When the SOVIDER juicer works as intended, it does deliver on its promise of extracting a high percentage of juice from fruits and vegetables. The juice produced is relatively pulp-free and retains its natural flavors.Easy Cleaning: The inclusion of a brush and pulp measuring cup does make the cleaning process more manageable, although this is a standard feature for most juicers.Cons:Persistent Locking Issues: The most significant drawback of the SOVIDER juicer is its unreliable build quality, particularly when it comes to the locking mechanism. As mentioned in my experience, I encountered the same problem with two different units: the body locks in, but it becomes virtually impossible to disassemble the juicer for cleaning or maintenance. This issue is not only frustrating but also a major hygiene concern. The first unit's malfunction led to a return, and the replacement unit eventually suffered the same fate. This suggests a recurring design or manufacturing flaw that seriously hinders the overall usability of the product.Lack of Durability: Given that the locking issue recurred within a few months of using the replacement juicer, it raises concerns about the durability and long-term reliability of the SOVIDER juicer. A product of this nature should be able to withstand regular use for an extended period without such significant flaws.Customer Support: While the company's willingness to replace the defective unit was appreciated, the fact that the same problem arose again shortly afterward does not inspire confidence in the product or the company's quality control. Furthermore, it's disappointing to hear that the reviewer was unable to secure a refund after experiencing two defective units. Conclusion:The SOVIDER Up to 92% Juice Yield Compact Slow Masticating Juicer has some promising features and capabilities, but its unreliable build quality, particularly the persistent locking issues, significantly hinders its overall performance and user experience. Given my experience, I cannot recommend this juicer to others, as it fails to meet basic expectations of functionality and durability. It's advisable to explore alternative juicer options with a more established track record of reliability and customer satisfaction. I'm just disappointed because I really liked it.
