I love my Kitvision Escape HD5W and have had great customer service regarding it too!The Camer itself looks great and comes with some useful accessories. The quality of the pictures and videos you are able to take are A lot better than I had expected and I am pleased with the shots I have managed to get!The waterProof casing of the camera I noticed was smart and looked good however it did crack when Being used A lot. However, it still kept the water out and I was glad it did for the remained of my holiday!I contacted the Kitvision company via their website asking where i could purchase a new case as I didn't want to risk it for too much longer and plan on using the camera a lot more and i was unable to find one and they immediately offered to send one to me free of charge which i received just 24hours later! The customer service was quick and successful and the person i spoke to was pleasant and helpful.I would 100% recommend this product to anyone looking for an action camera! The price is amazing and so is the quality of it overall including the customer service from the Kitvision support team!

A brilliant buy
This is a wonderful quality item that has surpassed all expectation at such a modest price. It has been used while skateboarding, cycling and on a scooter. It was a birthday gift for my grandson and he and his mum went back on Amazon and for around £8 got a great accessory pack that contains a chest mounting, a head mounting, and a long stick like a selfie-stick that means footwork and wheels can easily be filmed in motion too. The quality of the filming is really good. I must have visited the skateboard park a hundred times but have never been down into the pit it is set in. Now I can say that I have been, because viewing the film on a laptop wass just like speeding along down there, with the walls and ramps to either side.Do not hesitate to buy this camera. It is so good that me and his mum both want one! (aged 65 and 44).

A neat little underwater camera for occasional use
For so little money, the camera produced punchy pictures and HD movies. The images show barrel distortion that is presumably the function of such a wide angle lens.My only problem with this camera is that being unable to wear my spectacles in a snorkel mask, I could not read the LCD display to set the functions. I had to rely on knowing that the second function was the stills that I wanted. That is fine until the camera powers down and I lose track of what is set. Thus sometimes each press of the shutter starts or stops a movie instead of taking a picture, resulting in very random movies. I found I could not see anything on the screen in bright sunlight. For a special holiday camera it is great value.

Bought this camera a few months back after seeing good reviews, worked out of the box and took on holiday on the 16th of this month after not using at all only testing upon delivery to see if it worked. Tried to use on holiday and presumed the battery must have been without charge as nothing happened pushing any of the buttons. Plugged in to charge and the blue light came on after five minutes or so,after being on charge for over half an hour tried to turn the camera on and without the LCD screen displaying anything whatsoever it began taking photos without touching any of the buttons possibly delayed catching up with my earlier button pressing trying to get it to turn on,left on charge over night and blue light stayed on indicating that it was charging, the next morning took out the charger and nothing at all,no blue light or any other sign of life at all,now it is impossible to get it exchanged or refunded as its been too long since i purchased it even though it was not used. These are not an item which most would use daily for myself i'd only use it a maximum of three or four times a year on holiday or very infrequently for outdoor pursuits,I've worked previously for a very prestigious high street supplier of toys and wont mention the company name but can say that whilst working there 7/10 of the products taken off of the shelves and used in store as display models didnt work at all and exchanges were given without needing a receipt or months after purchase following good customer service proceedures as a happy customer will tell 3 people about their purchase and an unhappy customer will tell 10 people about their purchase so it makes business sense to take a small loss occasionally and remove the tumour before it spreads. Can anyone advise whats wrong with the camera?Whether I can exchange? Have repaired? Faulty part replaced?I'm sure having seen a lot of good reviews that the product you are selling is a good buy and I was just unlucky in receiving a faulty one. Just glad my iphone has a good camera so still managed to get some great shots but was devastated I couldn't take underwater shots as countless fish swam around me and record my POV as I walked around the old town on holiday in Alcudia,Majorca.Hope to hear from you soon,Mr Lee Sibley

A cheap alternative at £30 -- but the emphasis is on "cheap"
A bit disappointing, to be honest. The accessories are nice, but camera performance is quirky, even considering the low price (£29.99 when I bought it). There are versions on Amazon with the same name but prices up to £93 or more. I've heard good things about these others.Video quality is so-so. Very grainy, even at the highest resolution. The microphone picks up sound only if it's very loud or very close to the camera. Inside the housing, you can forget picking up any sounds at all. Plan on dubbing your own audio (which, tbh, is a good idea for most action sports anyway).Continuous time-lapse is a bit of a joke, as you'll have to stitch the pictures together yourself (e.g., if you want to record a lunar eclipse or storm clouds moving across the landscape). All that being said, it does work, more or less. It's a decent, budget camera you can try to see if you think it's worth plonking down 5-10 times as much money for a "real" action cam.
