Better than liquid or tablet
To be honest I've no idea if this prevents limescale build up in my washing machine, but my last one did last for 20 years. Better than the tablets most of which get left in the detergent drawer. I also don't use the liquid because a washing machine repairman told me years ago that liquids and capsules were no good for washing machines and to always use powder.

Prefer powder as only use half a spoon and does the same as 1 tab so this goes further, does the job

Never without this!
I have used Calgon in every wash for more years than I care to remember. Originally I crushed a tablet to see how much of the powder equalled a tablet (I should get out more!). With this information, I find the powder lasts much longer than a box of tablets!!.

Very small box for nearly £10 only does 10 wash loads not worth the money but I needed item so I didn't have a choice next time calgon tablets not powder
