Hi Marion. I have no idea what you mean by stoves cooker. Mine is gas tops and oven. It works well in the hood is at the proper height. This type of filter is very easy to clean - if one follows instructions. Personally I do: I use the bath tub in which I run enough hot water to barely cover the filter. Sprinkle sufficient Crystals soda on it and let it soak for 1 to a couple hours. Brush it very lightly half way through with a very SOFT brush both side. Then I rigged 1.5 meter of garden hose to fit a the hot water tap with a high pressure handle. Rinse thoroughly and let it drip dry where it is safe. For that reason I have 2 of these filters. One to replace the other while 1 is being cleaned and drying. I use them in rotation. Works for me

No and they're not s standard size and the seller ignored my email asking to return the filter. Avoid!
