Perfect item. Its big, much larger than the old style drum type we had years ago but very quiet operation, nice style and sizing of labels and fits perfectly onto plastic plant labels (which is what I do with my labels). Now, if you have hand writing like I do then this machine is a must have. Plus also as many of you know, Pencil and pen DOESN'T work! The labels fade away to the point where you eventually can't read them and unless your a plant identifier guru you will end up like me thinking 'now whats this supposed to be'. So far these machine labels have proved to be non fading, waterproof and what a great investment if you grow your own plants from seed. Runs on 6 x AAA batteries. You get a sanple tape reel with it (not a lot of tape but enough to do a good few plants, depends on the label size you set it to).In summary, would I ever consider buying another one of these in the future? Oh good grief YES!Recommended = yesPerhaps one day these will be made a bit smaller but I can't honestly think of anything I don't like about this. I wish I had bought one before now though.

Easy to use and clear writing. Would only say that it uses a bit too much tape either side of the label when printing however its not a big deal.

Label-tastic! A wide range of printing options, great clear labels, range of tapes available. It's quite large for a hand held device, but that's not really an issue unless you need a pocket size. Very useful

Single labels have a lot of waste either end, but multiple labels don’t, especially if you set the length manually to accommodate the text. Using anything other than ordinary letters is cumbersome, even apostrophes. Works fine with third party tapes. Best with a mains adaptor.

Bought this to label up my garden shrubs and many roses. I bought the waterproof tape - black print on white tape. The printed label was then stuck on a plastic garden label and tied to plant. After 6 months in all weathers there has been no deterioration of the print quality or the adhesion of the label. Very impressed and can highly recommend.Update Jan 2023. Labels still as good as new and have not deteriorated at all in all weather's!

Chose it as my birthday present to use for plant labelling. Really efficient, lots of complicated looking bits on it which I will investigate soon

Very pleased easy to use

So far it's great. The enclosed instructions are poor as said in so many reviews. I did find some better instructions online which helped a lot. Mind you my 8 and 10 year old grandchildren found my machine and were printing labels within 10 minutes with no problems. So if your struggling ask a child to help you! Using it for making tiny labels to identify phone and computer cables. It's really great.
