Very happy with this productPros ….. sturdy and a decent size for grinding without overspill. Everything feels sturdy and quality. Looks great and when not in use for grinding, I use it to store garlic cloves / bulbs.Grinder sits neatly in the cradle in the wooden lid which also looks good. All in all it looks good and does a good job.Cons …. It’s very heavy so might not suit folk with weak / sore or stiff hands. Could do real damage if you dropped it but this actually adds to the stability so it’s a personal choice really.

Good grinding action. Nice lid allows it to be a storage pot temporarily.

A well built and solid mortar and pestle which will last for many years to come. It's more expensive than others but it's design is nice and that's what you are paying the extra for. The only negative I have is that the pestle is quite short and can be uncomfortable to hold after quite a lot of pounding the food but I have large hands so might not be an issue for everyone.Overall I'm very happy with the purchase.

I know Joseph and Joseph are not cheap to buy but they are well built with quality materials.This is sturdy and well made for purpose. Bought one for self and another for friend and she likes it too.

Love the item, but stains easily with turmeric and difficult to get back to original colour. Lovely heavy feel to it and great for pounding and grinding. Looks great too, so no need to hide it away.

It's Joseph & Joseph need I say more! Superb quality product which will look great sitting on a kitchen worktop and (probably) never be used :-)

Beautiful piece of equipment, it looks great in my kitchen.It is very heavy, and it works perfectly, crushing and grinding the ingredients easily.I like the way the pestle stores neatly into the lid too.
