My favorite pellet smoker yet.
Writing this review at 158 completed cooks and 157 hours of cook time over 6 months of use.. This thing is awesome. I love the high temps for searing steaks and lower temp for the longer smokes. It holds set my temperature on point everytime, even when it’s freezing or windy outside. Lots of accessories for this size - my favorite are the grill grates for getting awesome sear hashmarks. I found the size to be perfect for a family of 4 with some room for more. Cleaning out the ash couldn’t be any easier with the lever. My experience with this grill alone has made me a RecTeq customer for life.

Recteq Finally PERFECTED The Bullseye!!!
The media could not be loaded. The third time's a charm! The Bullseye Deluxe is the third iteration of the Bullseye grill and recteq finally knocked this grill design out of the park for a grand slam!!! With a long list of improved features, they've perfected a now even more versatile grill into something that will literally retire your other grills and smokers.- The redesigned fire pot now has an ash dump system and an ash removal tray underneath. This thing sounds like a jet engine when it's roaring quickly towards 1000°! The upper edge of the fire pot is now raised inches above the bottom of the kettle, so grease fires are mitigated. This was a very smart design modification.- The PID controller now has dual-band wi-fi connections (2.4 GHz & 5 GHz), as well as a Bluetooth connection. The new controller also adds incremental temperature control from 500° to 750°, allowing more flexibility while in the searing temperature range.- The overall height of the unit is taller than previous versions, which is a welcome change, especially for taller folks.- The fire pot deflector is now made of heavy-duty cast iron and the OEM grate is made of stainless and has larger diameter rods.- The front fold-down stainless shelf now comes standard on a significantly beefed-up cart with soft rolling skate wheels.- The pellet hopper holds 16 pounds of pellets and now has a tool-less removable safety screen.- A two-year warranty with the best customer service folks in the business. Also, let's not forget that most 22.5" Weber Kettle accessories are completely interchangeable with the Bullseye! On our Bullseye, we added the aftermarket rotisserie/pizza ring attachment. We also added an aftermarket Weber raised-rib cast iron grill grate. Finally, we purchased the OEM recteq round griddle to allow even more flexibility with the same grill. With all of these available options at your disposal, your cooking styles will be virtually limitless! The feature list goes on and on, but you can't take advantage of all these wonderful features if you don't get one for yourself, so what are you waiting for? Buy one now and join the long list of satisfied recteq customers!!!

Excellent kettle smoker grill but has some hardware issues
This smoker grill is a beast. I have yet to test the highest temp possible, but it has reached ~840 deg F set to MAX while I seared some steaks. Overall construction appears high quality, but the ash lever has become incredibly tight and nearly impossible to twist in order to dump the ash. Strangely, this is contrary to what I'd read before purchasing the unit - some folks indicated in prior reviews that the spring responsible for returning the lever to its horizontal position would break fairly easily, leaving the handle a bit loose. In my situation, the lever became increasingly tight upon twisting after the 3rd use, which caused the plastic handle to strip out of the screw holding it in place (Recteq has replaced the plastic handle since, but I don't use it because it will simply strip again - just for looks now). This isn't the biggest deal, but now I have to use vice grips to turn the lever every time I want to dump ash (more of an annoyance in principle, considering the price of this unit). I also couldn't get the igniter to do it's job in a reasonable amount of time the first few cooks (anywhere from 5-20 minutes) until discussing with Recteq support, who talked me through flipping over the unit, unscrewing the igniter plate, and adjusting the position of the ceramic igniter so that it protruded a bit more into the fire pot. They were very helpful and I did get the igniter in a better position. But I suppose I expected a bit more hassle free experience after spending ~$800 for the unit + cover. Hence the 4/5. Based on function alone, I would rate it 5/5.

Stop Researching
Like many others, I did a ton of research on which pellet grill to get. I eventually narrowed it down to the Traeger Timberline, Camp Chef Woodwind Pro and the Yoder 640. That being said I always kept coming back to the Bullseye Deluxe because of its temperature range, availability of accessories (same size as Weber kettle) and ease of cleaning. I ultimately decided on the Bullseye and couldn’t be happier. I will admit that if you’re going to primarily use a pellet grill for long brisket, etc cooks then the Yoder etc are a better choice. I use the bull’s-eye 80% weekday cooks and 20% long smokes. Brisket came out perfect. Cooked for 16 hours and had perfect dark color etc. I use the only fire barbecue cooking grate system and a smokeware 18inch stainless steel drip pan for my long cooks and it works fantastic. Keeps the inside of the bull’s-eye clean and prevents any drips, etc.. I also recommend the recteq carbon steel griddle. One seasoned it works fantastic for smash burgers fajitas, fish. Lastly I use the Aura cast iron grill grate for steaks and anything else I want a good sear with. Lastly, it’s perfect for pizza. There are a lot of options out there, but you can’t go wrong with this grill.

Love it!!
Great smoker. I’ve had it for about a month and have used it 5 times. I did start a little fire after the third use because I didn’t clean out the ash from the fire pot. Other than that, no issues. Super easy to put together and the recteq app makes trying new cooks easy.
