I have used a number of inexpensive blow torches for my catering business over the years, and many of them have been very disappointing. This one attracted my attention because it can be fitted, with a half a turn and a click, onto the top of the ubiquitous gas canister used for for portable gas stoves. You can buy the canisters any where in the world at relatively cheap prices and the cans have enough pressure to produce a very good strong flame for a long period of time. The second big bonus is you don't have to fiddle around with a tin of gas, refilling through a valve on the bottom. When the gas canister is empty just chuck it (responsibly) and get another container.

This burner would not seal properly on to the gas cannister, even though it was in the "locked" position. At best, this wasted gas but at worst, it was unsafe. Returned immediately for a refund.

DANGEROUS! DO NOT PURCHASE!!I used this for the first time today to light a bee smoker. In total I had the flame going for about 30 seconds. It worked alright but as you can see, the plastic melted and clearly isn't made from fire retardant material - surely a pre-requisite for a product like this. I'll be returning and highlighting this safety issue to Amazon.

Lasting much longer than it's predecessor and has been used every day since purchasing.
