Great Talking Clock
Great clock pleased to find it can be easily set up... hold the set key once to enter and get into time setting mode ...very pleased to get a talking clock on the hour again after breaking my last one and to be able to change it from 24 hours back to16 hours talking hourly clock, as this is ideal as it is a tad loud....its easy to do by pressing the up button.... the talking hour with temperature can be easy turned off or just set it to an hourly chime as all stated in the helpful instructions .....ideal for the elderly.

It Is Very Informative....
It's louder than the old one we had and more clearer and precise. The numbers are nice and big with a bright lit up back light when you touch the main button. It looks great in the dark with a beautiful glow to it. It's also great for adults that are finding it hard to hear.

It talks... but other than that not great
My wife is registered severely sight impaired and we ordered this as a new bedside clock for her, replacing the large digit one she can no longer see. The product photos make it look as if the screen is large and clear, but in fact the whole clock is very small, much smaller than her existing one.It does have the ability to speak the time, but she wanted something she could see as well so as not to have to make it speak in the middle of the night. So we've decided to use it elsewhere in the house, but not what we were looking for. Finally, the instructions are tiny! Come on verbalise, if you're selling to the partially sighted market where are the large print instructions....

Bought as a present.
Good product, quite stylish, but do not buy for elderly person with hearing difficulties. The voice is accented, and delivery is too quick. This did not suit my 94 year old mother. Had the buy the Cube clock instead.

This was a brilliant purchase for my old dad who is almost blind
This was a brilliant purchase for my old dad who is almost blind. It is a good size without being too large and very stable. The button on the top which is pressed once to give the time and twice for date is easy to use and there is a variable volume control for those also with hearing problems. All in all a very satisfactory purchase and I would would recommend it to any one.

Good product but not set up
This is the third talking clock I have bought of this kind for my visually impaired mum ( the first one is still going but she needs them in different rooms). It is easy to use its basic functions such as time and temperture just press the top. It would be impossible for my mum to set it up herself. Strangely is comes with a sticker saying it has been set up to aid the visually impaired. This would be great if it were true but it clearly has not. The time and date are clearly random. So I have to get it delivered to myself - set it up and then mail it to Mum.
