Consistent Quality for Years
I have been playing the clarinet for over 50 years and have always used VanDoren reeds. I appreciate the quality and value of them. They are consistently good and I have only very very occasionally had what I would call a "duffer". By that I mean a reed that plays fuzzy and no amount of fettling will fix it. They play sweetly and clearly for me. Why should I change now?

As I have been playing clarinet for a while I was told to move up strength of reed. The number 3's were difficult at first but over time the sound quality has become fabulous!

The blow your brains out reed
Vandoren reeds have a pretty good reputation, but in my case I found them very difficult to blow to get a clean tone. The other two packets I received in error I would like changing for Mitchell Lurie Supreme. 3.5 as they produce a beautiful tone with very light breath for piannissimo playing.
