Basic Math & Pre-Algebra For Dummies Book + Workbook Bundle 1st Edition

This book is great. My mathematically challenged daughter loves it. It is easy to follow and understand.

This book has worked well for my 8th grader. Her math skills are improving. A lot of math how to- some workbook pages. Better than workbooks that fail to show student how to work out math problems. Great book for students preparing to go to high school.

I ordered this set of Math/Pre-Algebra 4Dummies, thinking that they go together, one being the workbook for the other. Not so - they are not a match to each other. Kinda defeats the purpose of the bundle.

At this advanced age of eighty one i decided tolearn basic math so i can learn algebra.All for the fun and the love of learning only.To my own surprise in a month and a halfi have completed both the books. I havestepped into algebra so easily. I am thrilled.My thanks and complement to Mark’s books.Its never too late to learn anything in life.You can learn anything if you set your heart to it.

Not a bad introduction to math.

I bought this for my 5th grade daughter to help her in advanced math class. She loves it. It is easy for her to read and easy for her to understand. I love that it has examples and was bundled with the work book. We have not yet activated the online portion but only because it hasn't been needed. The bottom line is that this has been a great purchase and I recommend it for any parent looking for tools to help their kids get a better understanding of Pre-Algebra and Algebra.

Not bad for instructional purposes. It has helped me refresh for myself and when I’m called upon to help my kids with math homework. However, there is one thing that irks me. The amount of writing errors in this book. I literally picture the editor, with their eyes glazed over, reading about MATH. I get a glimpse as to why they chose their line of work, but failed miserably. I’ll upload an example to prove my case. Page 116.

I'm an intelligent lady, mathematics have been a nagging fear of mine that have kept me from furthering my education in the past. This book has helped me so much with not just basic knowledge but breaking it down in an easy to understand method that makes me feel like I am not crawling out of a pool of goop for the first time in a long time in regards to math. This has been invaluable to me!
