Tried it once so far on an older machine and it appears to have worked well and the machine and washing smell much better.

Keeps the washing machine going in a hard water area
Very simple to use - joust pour into the washing machine and put on cleaning cycle. We are in a very hard water area so using this once a month keeps the machine working for longer.

The most effective washing machine scale remover
We live in a very hard water area of the UK. We get virtually solid chalk out of our taps! This washing machine descaler is brilliant. Regular use about every six weeks keeps the machine as clean as it was when it left the factory. We would thoroughly recommend this product.
