Instructions for construction would have helped
Arrived reasonably promptly, not well packaged, tape binding parts together falling apart & coming off when arrived, very heavy and possibly difficult for delivery person to handle as binding tape not sound; I was out when delivered. No instructions or list of pieces. Not difficult to put together, only because thankfully photos on Amazon showed how various sized pieces are arranged, without photos for reference construction would have been hit and miss, difficult.Front pieces slot in at an angle into side pieces; unfortunately three end bits on the side pieces had broken off, so three of the front bars could not stay in place. Thankfully I had the broken off bits so could glue back on with wood glue; difficult to say how long they will stay in place due to weather, damp etc.Very sturdy item, no timbers warped, went together easily using rubber mallet, and panel pins in the two side upright pieces which strengthen and keep the side pieces rigid at the front.I put it together on flat concrete surface, will need help moving onto soil due to weight, or could leave where it is.I would buy another if needed, tho if photos had not been on Amazon for reference I would have been mightily frustrated and would have recommended avoid this compost bin.

Heavy, strong, thick wood.
This was not easy to put together. The pack was very heavy so I opened it and took a few planks to where I needed it built. The wood is nice and thick.no damage during delivery.already got compost in and both of them full.I might need more.very prompt delivery.happy, thank you

this is a great wee product being dogged by these problems
This would have been a 5 star review but it arrived without screws, instructions and with bits of the ends broken. All problems noted in reviews previously so come on Primrose, this is a great wee product being dogged by these problems.

Nice but wobbly
Compost bin arrived very quickly and in perfect condition. Now that I have assembled it, I can say that it was easy to manage, even without any instructions. I like the appearance and it functions optimally although it is not as stable as other Lacewing products.

Don't waste your money.
Don't waste your money. This is poor quality and the side bars that you have to attach to the other bits of wood were too short so, having paid for a composter that should be six 'slats' high, ours is only five. They couldn't even be bothered to pre drill the holes for the screws to attach the side supporting bars or planks. I can't say if the wood has had any preservative treatment applied but it doesn't look nor smell as if it has so I don't expect it to last long. The instructions appear to have been photocopied so many times they are so faint as to be useless. The whole thing smacks of being thrown together and fits together poorly. I would think it cost about £5 to manufacture including the wood, if you have basic woodworking skills and tools make one yourself.

Ideal compost bin
I ordered a pair of these compost bins to replace a homemade bin that had rotted away. I had considered making another from scratch, but the coat of wood alone was not much less than these. I wanted a bin that could be easily unloaded, the removal slats on these were just what I was looking for. They were deliver within 24 hours. Well wrapped with everything needed and all in good order. Putting them together was quick and easy once you work out how the first layer is assembled. After that they just slot together. The wood was damp, but not an issue for a compost bin that will spend its life outdoors filled with muck. A rubber mallet was useful for tapping the joints together securely. Overall, excellent value for money.

Good compostor.
Great quick delivery.Pretty reasonable price for what you get all considered.Seems to be well treated wood, but we'll have to see how it looks in a few years time.Fairly ok to put together.Nice to use with the front slats being removable etc, so the design is nice. Ours is already full and actively been mixed and lower levels being accessed so it's working well thus far.Only real niggle was the screws provided seem pretty cheap vs what could have been provided. Even with an electric screwdriver some nice quality wood screws would make life easier.

Not great quality
Would like to rate higher as I love the design, but most of the slots weren't cut right, had to make them bigger, and one of the slats was broken on delivery, with a few others not in great condition. took a good couple of hours to assemble because of this. Hope it lasts, but doesn't feel great quality.
