They may work better tken at 2 a time, I tried to space them out always get indigestion after drinking fizzy pop, so I bought these as an alternative to having prescription meds. They did work but only when taking 2. I will buy them again and try to stop drinking fizzy soda.

Whilst I'm at home I would tend to use Peptec, a liquid indigestion remedy similar to Gaviscon advanced, but cheaper. But these small tablets are so very easy to carry around with you and area also so very effective, quickly...!If you do suffer from acid reflux or indigestion long term then it is best seeing your doctor. I did and saw a Gastroenterologist who did various tests, with scans, cameras and probes monitors fitted in the larynx and oesophagus. For me the diagnosis left is "functional reflux". The point that I'm making is make sure that you get checked out if you need these things long term :)I do love the size of these , discreet enough like a Rennie but without the chalkie taste whilst sucking them. In my opinion suck rather than chew as the calming effect seems to last longer.As each of these tablets contain Sodium Alginate that helps to provide a protective barrier on top of the meal you have just eaten, which in turn helps to protect against reflux. That means they are best used when upright to stop the stomach contents from rising through the LOS - lower oesophagus sphincter.Peptac also contains Sodium Alginate, like Gaviscon Advanced, but is much cheaper than Gaviscon. The aniseed flavour is very palatable. Not sure why they make mint flavour aids for people with reflux, mint not being good for reflux.So overall I'm very impressed with these tablets and their effectiveness. I have found that there is no one single solution if you have reflux ongoing. Dietary and lifestyle changes, sleeping on a "wedge" (bought from Amazon), sleeping on your left side, addressing anxiety etc all can contribute to helping. But these tablets for me are most useful and I do recommend them.Also I have found great benefit from using probiotics to improve my gut health, that has improved my reflux a lot.Delivery and packaging was fine, no issues there.I hope that this review has helped you, best wishes with your reflux / indigestion issues.

I usually take Gaviscon liquid for a hernia, which is fine in the day. However, Gaviscon in tablet form is so convenient at night in your bedside drawer. Acid reflux while in bed is dealt with by the convenience of opening the drawer, getting a tablet to chew on while reading your book. Not the greatest taste in the world, bit chalky, bit powdery, still not sure if it's supposed to be strawberry or raspberry flavour, but it does the job. The 48 tablet size box is such a good size for a drawer, and if I need to take them when I go out for a meal, I just take a strip of 8 for my bag.

Been using this for years and it's NEVER let me down

Gaviscon have been in this line of work since before I was around and it shows.None of us want to have to take these or spend our hard earned money on these but, we all need to enjoy ourselves a little. Even more so, given the state of the world these days.So pop a couple of these into your mouth and enjoy the minty flavour as a preemptive strike against heartburn or acid reflux and then go and enjoy yourself. Take another couple before going to bed and have a great nights sleep. Without being woken up at some ungodly hour by the devil stabbing your throat with his pitchfork made out of molten lava.Highly Recommended. Gaviscon dual action have literally been a life saver for me!I have reflux and take a preventive medicine which usually works, but unfortunately not always! (DO NOT TAKE WITHIN 2hrs of preventive medicine)Gaviscon is my emergency rescue medicine & literally is a lifesaver, as I sometimes wake up choking on acid!It took a while to get used to the flavour and texture, however having been prescribed the liquid, which I can’t stand, I persevered and now actually find them pleasant!They come in handy strips, so are perfect for popping in your bag or pocket, so you always have them when you need them & work immediately!I’ve tried other things & for me, nothing is more effective than Gaviscon Dual action, so even though they are more expensive than other brands, but are worth every penny!

I suffer from the worse heartburn ever, and have done so for about ten years now. I used to go through a bottle of gaviscon every couple of days. I’ve also taken lots of rennies, tums, lanzoprazole and omeprazole tablets daily. Nothing seemed to helping. I can’t sleep lying down because I wake up choking on stuff pouring out of my nose etc. I can’t bend down or lean over etc, as the heartburn is so bad, it’s like it cuts off my breathing. So I thought I would give these a try, even though I never liked the mint liquid gaviscon. And I have to admit, out of everything that I’ve tried, these do help. Infact I’ve got heartburn now as I’m writing this, so I will be taking one now. My heartburn will always be an issue but these help the best. The only bad point is the fact that the price seems to always go up, in my monthly subscription of them.
