A superb desk mounted 6-way multi socket extention
I received this today (having ordered this only three days ago, which included a weekend). Well packaged as I've come to expect from items shipped direct from Amazon.This 6-way multi socket is made from durable plastic through-out.The triangular corner pieces also act as a stand, providing good clearance (about 1.5cm) beneath for trailing cables. There are cut-outs in the corner of each which would suggest it is possible to affix the unit to a desk via velcro or plastic cable ties. At their base, each have two rubberised plastic pads designed to prevent movement. I have a glass topped desk which in this instance isn't ideal. However, by applying glue dots, the unit is now securely fixed.Behind the six plug sockets, at the top, you will find a recessed area that runs the length of the unit. Though the purpose of this is unclear, this I would appear to allow you to mount this in a suspended fashion by running a bar through it. I have seen similar on a professional computer bench.It is quite possible that you could stand this vertically as the corner pieces are oversized and well balanced. However, as I haven't tested this in a real world application with all 6 sockets populated I cannot confirm how well this would work.In all, this unit appears to be designed with mounting modification in mind.The power switch is large, moving with the slightest of presses, becomes illuminated when switched to 'on'.In conclusion, this is a very good product, especially for home usage. The only improvement I could suggest would be to provide independent switches for each socket.This is the first review I have given with 5-stars as I am unable to fault it.

Fantastic product
This is the fourth of these extension cables that I have bought. Top quality item. Even has plug that can be removed - not one of the moulded on types - ideal for removing in order to pass the cable through a tight space and reconnect the plug at the other side.Really cannot fault this item for lab/hobby benches.

Well made and well styled for home office...
A home office can yomp up wall sockets, this 6 way switched unit sits neatly under the desk. I like the fact that the sockets are slightly angled - makes for easier plugging in and unplugging, also larger DC adaptor types are easily accommodated.Does not offer surge protection, so if you do want that added assurance you need to look elsewhere. When choosing this item I considered cheaper 'auction site' models but one never knows if they are up to our UK safety standards, so was happy to go with this brand.All in all very satisfied customer.

Great product
Item was really well packaged . Item as described . Really pleased with quality of the product yes expensive compared to cheaper units made in China but you get what you pay for . Unit is robust and I am certain it will last .

Saves bending down
Used it on a cabinet to connect lamp, phone and i pad chargers without having to to bend down to switch them on and off. Looks good, good price and a quick delivery.

Exactly what i needed
For my small home office desk, this power adapter was pretty much exactly what I was looking for. If it had some USB sockets it would be perfect.So far has shown no problems with load and is stably powering my desk.Good job!

Solid bit of kit
I wanted the plugs the other way around so leads heading north not south (like in the picture advertising it). Simple enough to switch though
