Brilliant Game - 9/10
After playing the first game very briefly and not too seriously I wasn't 100% sure I'd get this game, but I'm very glad I did.The gameplay is superb, I'll admit I'm still a bit of a random button masher, but after spending a few hours on it I'm starting to improve (Slightly!) stringing combos together can be difficult, especially when your playing on a high difficulty, but the practice mode comes in handy for getting to grips with how the game plays. The characters themselves are superb, each one feels unique and has their own fighting style, with corresponding strengths and weaknesses, the numerous interactions at the start of fights/during clashes is a nice touch, as are the comments certain characters will make to eachother during fights. My only gripe would be Deadshot/The Flash/Robin who are easily exploited by the AI and other characters. The customisation choices are immense, hundreds of gear pieces to chose add another element to the game, ranking items from Common to Epic, the option to also re-roll items to fit your level allows you to carry forward useful gear as your character progresses. The story mode has to be the icing on the cake by far, I had a fair understanding of the storyline despite not reading the comics, but I still felt the first games story was a bit all over the place with the Multiverse etc, the second game doesn't have that problem the story is somewhat simplistic, but great to play through, the moral decisions/ideologies of our Heros/Villans really play a strong role in the story, seeing chracters like Green Lantern & The Flash trying to correct what they did in the regime, as opposed to the likes of Wonder Woman who still stands by the choices they made shows a real division in what was supposed to be a group of friends fighting for peace. Batmans beliefs are also scrutinized, with a threat like Brainiac one the horizon, do you keep Superman in chains or risk setting him free? A special mention has to be given to the moments Superman & Batman spend together, you can see they are both still desperate to be the people they once were, and there is still a friendship that is broken beyond repair. The graphics are superb, the facial animations are detailed very well, and the super moves/stage transitions are great to see, also a special mention to the sound effects in this game, with a soundbar it's nothing short of amazing, Black Adams super-move sounds flawless among many other ones.Overall I'd say this game caters to both people who are well informed and played the first game, as well as novices who want a good scrap with their favourite superheros!

Good Fun Fighting game with a great story
I loved the first game and the story that surrounded it, I was very excited to see where they went with this and I am happy to say that I was not disappointed. The game play is similar to the first game with intuitive combos and the need for some practice and skill rather than just button mashing. the animation and graphics are great and it does feel to me like slightly more than just a standard fighting game.

The Honest Truth on "Injustice 2"
Received the game today, completed the story mode, and played a few multiverse matches.First, multiverse for those that don't know is just an arcade tournament mode that is made a little fancy by putting the tournaments on separate planets in a multi universe. Is the typical mortal kombat type tournament mode just with a facelift. You play a series of matches and then its on to another tournament bracket. Not much story to that at all. Be warned though that some tournaments are impossible to win unless your character has a 20 level. You will be creamed quick fast and in a hurry.Story mode is a snooze fest as in we've seen it all before. Not enough villains in the game so make up some cheese ball story to justify heroes fighting other heroes. You can not choose which side you want to fight on until the end of the final chapter. It's entertaining to follow along with but (spoiler alert) ..at times you wish you were fighting on the other team with the more established fighters instead of the newly added ones. (end spoiler alert)The pre order character Darkseid (spoiler alert) ..He's not even in the story mode at all. (end spoiler alert)Darkseid as an in game character seems like a cream puff how he stands with his hands behind his back like he has a white glove hidden that he's going to slap his opponent across the face with. Yes, quite the gentleman style indeed. Not the brute that one would expect. All in all the game is fun to play but it is NOT as good as previous versions from last gen. In particular Mortal Kombat vs DC Universe is/was much better than this and for that reason we can not give the game more than 3 stars. With an upgrade in consoles we want upgraded versions of games that are better than the ones we already have on last gen. Message! The other reason the score is 3 stars is because of missing characters that are left out of the game. Where is Lex Luthor, Martian Manhunter, General Zod, Shazam (killed off but so was Joker and he's in the game), Solomon Grundy, Killer Croc, the real Nightwing, the real reverse flash, Sinestro, Abomination, and Batgirl? And why in the blue hell is Swamp Thing and Spawn in the game??Advice .. wait for the price drop or rent it over the weekend and play through the story mode just to say you did then go back to playing the last gen versions of DC fighting games.Out!

Very difficult to put down
This game is incredible, with a compelling campaign that you find difficult yet almost addictive and a multiplayer that is fluid and insanely fun with friends, this game is very difficult to put down. While the story is short-term about 3-5 hours long depending on your competence and difficulty level, iris the perfect length for this sort of game- in that it doesn't drone on, and you find yourself wanting to never stop playing.Overall, if you enjoy games such as Mortal Kombat and Injustice: Gods Among Us, you will undoubtedly love this game.
