Steenbergs Organic Apple Pie Spice Mix 45g

A great product... fantastic and well balanced mix of spices which work in pies, crumbles and bagels.My only issue is that it is quite expensive for the weight - even though it's a pack of three jars. I guess this is the price you have to pay for convenience of having a pre-mixed blend.

I cook/bake almost everything from scratch, but when it comes to the spices, I become super-lazy and love an all-in mixture. I'd never baked an apple pie before - I wasn't even sure I liked them - but this one turned out a treat. There was a lovely smell from the spices, with the taste to match. These aren't large pots, but unless you're turning out three pies a week, it goes a long way. I'll use it the next time I make apple butter too and I may even attempt crumble (to see if I can turn around a horror of crumble from my school days). It isn't massively versatile, but when it comes to stewed apples, it's the tops. I've got a few of these Steenberg blends and I've found them a little pricey, but all worth it for the added "something". The stollen mixture in particular is also fantastic.

Very nice organic spice mix. I like Steenburgs quality.

The smell and taste is amazing. Bought to use when baking for hubby who loves apple's but used it in a bread pudding and was delicious. Will be buying more.
