Beadsmith Thread Zap II-

Does exactly what it should. This is the second one I have had previous one i had had for some time and just stopped working. This tool is ideal for zapping threads and sealing so the ends do not fray.

Works exceptionally well.

I received this item, placed a brand new battery into it and then nothing, it did not work. I thought maybe I put the battery the wrong way round, again nothing. I fiddle with the device for over an hour nothing, no heat no thread cutting nothing. I thought well I might as well return it, guess what, the seller does not accept returns or replacements. Save your money and time this item is useless, with no customer rights. 😑

Another useful tool I could no longer do without. Works as expected.

I've had two of these. The first one lasted a few weeks. The second one never worked...until now.There seems to be a constant refrain in the reviews that either the tip doesn't glow, or only glows intermittently.That was my problem.The contruction is so simple there can't be many possibilities.I eventually found that the issue is the (lack of) current through the body of the zapper.To solve this I unscrewed both ends of the zapper (including the end that says "don't unscrew this end") and gave both ends of the body a quick rub with sandpaper.It now works perfectly.

Fast and easy to use. The tip is very flexible (thought it was going to break) and got stuck with burn thread. Not sure if that’s normal...

Great for sealing the ends of your macrame or friendship bracelets and probably has a few more uses too. Battery does run out pretty quick if used a lot but i guess that is to be expected with something like this that needs to be powerful- i just use rechargeable batteries. The tip can be a bit flimsy so you do have to use with care but it certainly helps make the job quicker.

Works as it should. Perfect for what I need.
