Q: How long can the connecting wire be. I need the length to be 60 feet. Will the sensor still work?

The wire resistance is not that big of a deal, I would worry more about the RF/EMF noise. Here is an example of a 10K probe at room temperature (68F or 20C). First the resistance of 50 feet of cat5 wire is about 2.57 ohms total. The resistance of a 10K probe is 12,493 at 20C and is 11,943 at 21C. This is about 550 ohms per degree C, so the the 50 feet of wire will change the reading less than .005 of a degree C. The short story here is be more worried about the shielding of the cable than the resistance. Hope this helps

Q: Can this leads be user extended to 4 meters without affecting accuracy?

Hi: 4 meter extension should have minimal resistance affecting sensor output.....you can test by measuring resistance with sensor in ice water with and without the extension....if nothing else you will have the offset parameters.... Hope this helps

Q: barring cutting off connector and wiring directly, what type of connector does this sensor use so i can order some?

It's a very small (approx 5/32 x " 7/32" across front face with ~3/32" pin to pin and ~9/32" front to back flange) female type. If your application requires an extension wire, solder and heat shrink ideally is better than using a matching connector. Small wire nuts would work. If your application needs a specific connector and this is not it just cut off the old sensor's connector and attach as above. I will try to post pics.
